I highly doubt we'll see SH-AWD in the 3rd gen. You have to realize that the current models are now 5 year models. The Accord/TL/Odyssey platform has been migrated from 4 year to 5 year. Do you really think they're going to make a platform change one year into a generation rather than getting their money out of the tooling ?
Sure, the Pilot and MDX have the AWD option, and they, too, are based on the Accord platform, but they have a hell of a lot more room to spare by running the crankshaft and a rear differential thru the car. A sedan will have to adopt the lump thru the middle, and give up trunk space. Our gas tanks are where the rear drive would be, and the spare tire goes where the gas tank coulda/woulda. To move it all around would cost them cubic feet of storage, which means a lot in car-to-car comparisons.
It MIGHT show up in the mid-gen change, 06 or 07, but only if it won't cost them too much on the tooling changes.

I'm tire of this 4/5 year crap.....because they add SH-AWD does not mean they have to change the platform, the G35 didn't nor will the TL. Is actually very simple....they will use the spare tire space for the SH-AWD when the add the michelin runflat tires. I'm not saying is coming in 05, but it sure is coming.
Hey sherlock if you know so much, why don't you tell me what car and platform is on this video of SH-AWD..... http://www.honda.co.jp/HDTV/news/200...01a/index.html
