I need some advice

I have a 2004 Black TL with all the bells and whistles, a-spec, etc. My wife will be leaving her job and going back to school at the beginning of 08. So, I have been thinking about trading my TL in for a 03 CL type S 6 speed for a lower payment, so that I can keep my race car and here Denali. Am I crazy? Or do you think it's not that bad of a thought?

You're better off keeping the TL rather than trading it for an 03 CL Type-S which you probably will be less happy with (I'm assuming) and being that you've already put moeny into loading the car with things such as the A-Spec etc. You might as well enjoy it instead of having regrets about trading it for the CL

04 should be getting close to paid off. Save money elsewhere, keep the car you know the history of and enjoy.

The coupe might cost your more insurance due to its two doors and less safety features......Not 100% sure, but I think it may...you might want to look into that. Good luck in your decision!

you'll get hosed on the trade-in, so emotions aside, your payments will be what, $50 less than what they are now, which is not going to save you.

In your post, you mentioned having a race car and Denali....I would rather rid of gas guzzling Denali than a nice classy daily driver your TL is.
