I jumped ship.....

I recently let go of my 05TL and purchased an 03 Is300 due to cut backs at my job.
I have to say i'm very surprised on how the IS drives and handles. No more rattles and the E-shifts much smoother than the TL. I was expecting a lesser car, but the Lexus sure did put a smile on my face. The cabin noise is much quiter than the TL and today i had to make a sudden stop the 4 wheel disc brakes lock right on and stoped. Not like the TL where if i would make a sudden stop it would stutter step. Anyways good buy guys.

uh... antilock brake should "stutter" when activated... you should not be able to lock up your wheels if you're in a car w/ antilock brakes.

Good luck. Have had no rattles w/my 06 MT. Drove an IS300 from our body shop and I wasn't impressed. To each his own.

Being several hundred pounds lighter might help...

I was in my friend's IS and it was very loud inside. Mostly road noise.

I understand that the IS is a great car and all that, but maybe you're trying to justify your hand being forced to let go of the TL. I mean, I've had mine for 11 months and have had ZERO problems. Either way, I hope that your IS continues to be a car that puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.

I also hope that your job situation improves and when it does, maybe we'll see you back here again!! Maybe in an '09?!?!? Good luck.

I was looking for an IS300 5sp before I bought the TL at the end of March. Just got a call from the local Lexus dealer and they have the exact IS300 I had been looking for. Good price and certified.

Man, if I didn't love this TL so much, I'd be driving her today.

Not true.
ABS works only if one, or two, or three wheels lock-up and other wheel(s) still spining. If all 4 wheels lock-up at the same time, ABS will not kick-in.
