I joined the scraped wheel club!

Well I have had my 04 TL for 4 months and I now have a scraped front wheel. I bought my Wife a new Honda Odyssey yesterday. She drover my car to work that day so I could pick up her new Odyssey. I got out of my car today and happended to look down at my front wheel and it had a 4 inch scrape in the wheel and a gash in the sidewall of the tire. Oh, I forgot to say I replace my tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S a month ago.

Of course she said she didn't remember hitting anything. The only good thing about this is I have a great relationship with the Acura Dealer where I bought my car. I call my service guy and asked if they have a wheel they took off of a new TL. He called me back with a price of $150 for the wheel. I don't think I have to replace the tire. Either way is still sucks!!

how bad is the scratch, it can be fixed good as new for less than 150 sometimes. sure does suck to have someone else ruin your wheels.

I joined today as well - a really small curb that I didn't see nicked the right rear! Anyone know of a good shop in the Schaumburg area?

Welcome to the club. I'm sorry to say that I joined it the first day that I bought the car. I was just so used to running my Accord over curbs and all--I called it my 'truck'. I found out that the TL was not the same.

Yep I know that feeling - before my TL I had a Durango with 135K miles on it - no worries about curbs, rocks or potholes - the truck was like a tank. I guess I can relax now that my car has been 'christened' by Chicago roads.
