Great price!

Your system doesn't need a software upgrade to play DVD audio discs.

for the clear lights you have to send it to Mr. to do for you. he is a member of the forum and other acura forums. he takes apart your headlight and removes the orange. as for dvd capabilities it only plays dvd audio disks. to play dvd video you have to get a dvd player and video adapter in order to watch a movie. do a search on dvd entertainment.

hehe...i have you beat...i got $32,787 here in boston. :lol2:

i went online before going there and requested some quotes...one place sent me an e-mail saying they could sell for $32,987, so i took that quote to acura of boston and they beat it by $200....hence, the 32,787. i placed my order back in mid march and got the car just this past monday - a 2 month wait! i think it helped that i was negotiating towards the last week of the quarter too.

anthracite/camel/navi/decklid spoiler/backup sensors...my total OTD price was $33,740 after tax/title/reg...oh yeah, i also traded in a 93 camry...think i got around $1500-$2000 for that

WTF MAN?!? Why the hell would not one single dealership in all of California between the end of February and end of April not negotiate lower then a few hundred bucks off MSRP?!? Why is it that I had to pay $39,579.87 out the door (and pay $1080 extra for a little extended warranty) and everyone else is saving around $5,000 in other states!?! I'm f!#@$# heated!! :ar15: :banghead: :bigun2: :rocketwho :chainsaw: :ar15:

I paid $32,600 for mine: 5AT/Navi; Anthracite/Ebony.

It's nice to hear that folks are getting discounts after all the gouging from earlier in the year.

it's ok.. I have a right to be gullable I guess. it's my first new car I've ever had.. My very first time being at the dealerships.. and my heart has always been set on the Acura TLs the past 3-4 years and when the 2004 came out.. I just had to have it! I wasn't fond of the back of the car all that much.. But everything else was perfect! I found the back of the TSX more attractive.. but that's just my opinion..
And I have no family or friends that had experience at a dealership. So I knew I'd be lucky to get anything negotiated. I felt good getting the decklid spoiler for almost free.. It's amazing though.. The saleman was like "I don't care if you walked out right now, we know we are the only ones in the state to have this exact car you want and 12 other people have their eyes on it".. He told me straight up he has no willingness of negotiating and knows he will be selling it anyways within the next week.

I guess I should've went out of my way to another state to make a deal like everybody else got and go through all the hassle of getting the taxes paid for in California and getting it registered from another state. I would've saved a few grand over all more likely. I think it would've been worth it. Or have the car ordered and have to wait for it like some of you people are doing.. Having to wait a month after ordering it with a deposit, I couldn't take it..

chazy777, take it easy on yourself. These cars do sell for a higher price in California. Also, this is the internet. It's hard to really know the deal a person got without knowing every factor on the entire transaction. Maybe the guy that claims he got a TL for $29K got it for that because the dealer gave him $7,000 for his 3 year old Accord that was really worth KBB trade-in of $11.5K. Or may he paid high dealer fees and financed it at 9.9% when the going rate is 3.9. Bottom line, don't worry what other people say they paid.

And oh yea, since we live in California, my house that I paid $400,000 for 3 years ago is now worth $750,000. :lol2:

Why is everyone so happy about paying $30k plus for a car that has a cost basis to Honda of $14,743.92 plus shipping?
With good leather and tires basis would have been $14,921.17 but that was money well saved.

Congrats on low prices. If someone wants a real low number, wait a few more months when the '05's start arriving.

People do need to factor in trade ins and other hidden ways the dealer makes money; i.e. computer fees, higher interest rates, delivery charges, fees for add-ons that others get for free: trunk tray, wheel locks, splash guards, etc.

I'm always surprised at the non-TL owners that post negative comments here. They've actually taken the time to register their name, set-up a password, just so they can leave messages to placate their inferiority complex. Go find a positive hobby! TL owners and prospective buyers are here to help and learn from each other.

Yep, many people complain about the tires. My only complaint is that they're terrible in snow. Wet/dry conditons they handle very well in my opinion. Snow tires for me next season.

That sucks because Ryan's was givin us a hard time from even comin down from MSRP. I hte that dealership and have started to take our MDX for service to Precision Acura in Lawrenceville! He's offered 33,500 for 5AT WDP/Navi and I think that if Ryan doesn't budge from his MSRP, we may have to settle with precision...but lucky for you guy, 32,900 wow thas amazing!

Interesting to hear no-one in California is dealing on price. We only have one Acura dealer here in Vegas, so if you don't want to pay their price, you have to go to either LA or Phoenix. My 2000 TL came from Scottsdale Acura because they could go the extra mile and do the lease the way I wanted to - but I also saved on the price. Very good people there - picked us up from the airport, the price was less on signing than they'd quoted, and the even gave us a basket full of water and snacks for the drive back. Of course, 4 years is a long time in the car dealer business.

Thats because your neighbors don't seem to mind paying MSRP, so the dealers know they can get the full MSRP.

I paid $800 under MSRP back in January for a California car. I have no regrets, I'm glad that others are getting great prices. I knew that would happen at some time.

it's a market-vakue priced car, meaning it sells like homes in your area. if your neighbors get alot when they sell their homes, you will too. if they don't, you won't either.

in NY i paid 32.5 for 5at-blk-blk (no navi) but with full apron kit and low lip spoiler. i'm undecided if i should have bought the navi.

i haggled for about 3 weeks between 5 different dealers. the dealers know their market and hence hold on the price....

Suusman Acura

For whatever its worth:

After reading NJNick's amazing price of $32,393 for 6MT navi I called Sussman Acura to see if they could o better than my price of $33,168 (heck I can always get out of the deal if I bitch enough). Spoke to a salespoerson who told me they had my same car (anthracite / ebony / 6MT / navi) coming in a month (only one). He said the price would be close to MSRP - tough car to get - he would deal but not much. He asked what I had in mynd as far as price went and I told him what my Acura dealer was offering to sell it to me (even though I already bought it) for $33,168 he said (no shit - no embellishment):

Dealer: "Wow, someone is seeling you a 6 spd navi in that color combo for that price?"

Me: "Yup"

Dealer: "You should buy it, that's a good deal"

Me: "You can't beat it?"

Dealer: "No"

Me: "Thanks, bye"

Dealer: "Bye"

Well what is it?

Are there really deals at under 33K in NJ for a TL with navi?

I have yet to get in touch with the guy from Sussman we keep missing each other but I will be trying as well. I have an offer right now at 33650 in DC area but i want to beat that by 1000.

Anoyone else have good experiances in NJ for a TL with navi at a price of under 33K?

Check this deal out...

I'm in California, and got an 04 TL with 6MT and Navigation AND FULL A-SPEC for $35700 + TTL. And that included the $800 paint protection and I negotiated 3.69% financing for 5 years. I still can't believe I pulled that one off.

Salesman: Ray Ramsey
Dealer: Butts Acura
Location: Seaside, California

And by the way, congrats on your new car. Hope it brings you many years of joy. I've had it for a full week now (up to the hour) and I'm very happy with it. WTTC!
