I Got Mine - NBP w/6-SPD

Hey, I just found this site. Picked up my 2004 TL a week ago and I've been very pleased.

I found a great deal on a NBP 6-speed with Navi and Ebony leather.

I investigated just about every car in this class and it came down to the G35 and the TL. I went with the TL based on the better features and better attention to details. The G35 has some plastics in the interior that seem to be very low quality for a $30k plus car.

I had a 2004 Subaru WRX STI that I sold to purchase this vehicle. The STI was fast, but too punishing for me to drive every day.

Congrats on your purchase!

I too am/was considering the STI...looks like a fun car to drive.

Thanks.

STI was a fun car and if a 3rd car made sense for my family right now I would have kept it. It just was a poor daily driver for me. I needed something a little more comfortable to drive every day.

I wouldn't steer anyone away from an STI however. Has to be the quickest road car for the money stock I can think of. If you are at all a World Rally Championship fan then it is a no-brainer.

Congrats on your purchase. Man, it seems as if the TL vs. G35 decision is the Coke vs. Pepsi of the car world. After testing driving both, I picked Pepsi!

Of all the other cars in the same class I was considering... I included the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution as a last option. I loved the way it looks, handles, and drove; in the end, I opted for the TL for it all-around appeal, performance, and comfort.

I'm not a teenager anymore and I care about my butt, spine, and ultimately how my lady-friends comfort is when cruisin' with me.

Congrats on your new purchase!! I am waiting for my NBP as we speak...should be here by end of the month.

In regards to TLovers post

If the TL vs the G35 is Coke versus Pepsi, and you went with Pepsi am I too assume you bought the G35??

With a name like TLover I am assuming you meant coke!!

Coke VS Pepsi is such a bad analogy...especially for those that prefer Dr. Pepper like me

No way. The Pepsi can has a much cooler exterior than Coke's, and the caffeine in Pepsi accelerates much faster through my system.

Congrats.

I picked up my NBP/Ebony/Navigation 04 TL last Wednesday. I hate every second I am away from her.

By the way, yes, my new TL is a she (6MT too). I just can't decide on a name for her. Dagney, Irene, Roxy or Ginger. She had to be a she, did not want a guy telling me where to drive. Would rather have the sexy voice.

Agreed! Female voice is the way to go. However, I suspect that any female TL buyers may disagree.

I'm on the road a lot for business and the Bluetooth feature has quickly become something I don't know how I lived without before this car.

Congrats. My TL is identical to yours in color and config. I also narrowed it down to TL or G35. While I still think just as highly of the G, I am more than happy with my decision to go with the TL. Have fun and welcome to the forum.
