The plain and simple FACTS are that he WAS NOT under the PUBLISHED speed limit. If your tired (or conditions are poor) you are suppose to slow down BELOW the PUBLISHED speed limit (It's even in the driving manual). Shheeessh. Idohope helearns hislesson and his parents force him to pay for his own insurace. If he were my son, the car would be "off limits" for at LEAST two weeks after HE finished paying for it to get repaired.

Hey guys..thanks for the concern and everything. I read many different opinions that u guys shared and even though I may not totally agree with some of the people's comments, i do respect your inputs. However there are some things I wanted to point out:
First of all, I WAS NOT under the influence of alcohol or any other substance for that matter as some of you suspected. I am a responsible driver and know when to drink and when not to. I actually dropped off some friends that have been drinking off at their houses before heading home on the highway. I think the main factor as most of you pointed out that contributed to this accident was fatigue. Driving home at 4:30 a.m. is tiring, even when it's only a 10-15 minute drive.
Also (to boltjames) I understand and respect the fact that you criticized me for being inexperienced and speeding over the 65mph posted limit (which I admit is true), although in my opinion at that time, going 70mph was not actually fast in those conditions. However I don't exactly appreciate you calling me a "racerboy in a TL impressing RSX and WRX buddies." How can you judge me like you know me? I don't know about you guys, but I don't think doing 70mph on a highway qualifies me as a "racerboy." Think through what you're saying before you jump to conclusions, not to bring up another user (sorry forgot your sn) mentioning you racing in a minivan with your family in it. You don't see me calling you racerboy now, do you?
To everybody else, thanks for the concern again and yes, I did learn from this experience. My parents said everybody has life experiences and this is one of them. I will be much more careful from now on and don't plan to stay out so late for a while. Oh yeah btw, the total repair cost $6,000 flat. I'm helping my parents pay for as much of it as I can out of my own pocket.
Any more comments are welcome

I think everybody needs that little accident that dosent cause too much damage or any injury or that little ticket it kinda stops you from getting to cocky behind the wheel i know i my case it dose but i do know people who never got or ticket or accident and have been driving for years and years
