I was eating lunch when suddenly....
I saw this:
I present to you, the TLTaxi.

Needless to say I dropped my chopsticks mid-bite and ran out the door without saying a word to any of my friends just to take some pictures for all my fellow Acuraziners. Everyone thought my car was getting broken into or got hit...
When I told them I had to take a picture of a TLTaxi they all looked at me like this

So this is where that one guy with the hideous Type R Yellow TL-S got his inspiration from....

Too funny. Kind of pricey to start with a TL as a cab and then thinner margins assuming he is using premium fuel. On the plus side he gets to drive a TL all day while at work.
Using a car that requires premium gas? Bad idea.
On top of that, the TL isn't known for its trunk capacity...makes even less sense.
It almost hurts to see a TL as a taxi, even if it is the sharpest taxi I've seen anywhere.

Can't say I understand the comments about premium gas. The "cost" associated with premium comes out to an equivalent of getting 1~2 MPG less. There are PLENTY of different cars driven as taxis that have WAY MORE variation in gas milage between them than 1~2 MPG. And I don't know that it is widely held that, e.g., X and Y model car have the best gas mileage known to man therefore they are the only 2 models used as taxis.
When the entire point of a taxi is to be driving around constantly, the price difference in what you pay at the pump is more significant than what you would see with someone who isn't constantly driving around, day in and day out.
I'm not even talking about MPG, just straight cost at the pump. And again, for a business where it's all about increasing your profit margin, it makes more sense to have a car (or fleet of them) that uses regular gas and good gas mileage.
