i can't controll my rear leftside window from the master window control..help.

I can't seem to roll down my rear left side window from the master control. However, i am able to roll it down from the rear left side window control.

I am bringing it to the dealership on Friday. They told me that if it's a defect, then it'll be covered under warrenty. However, if it's the result of my aftermarket speaker, then it won't cover it.

He (service rep) thinks that all he has to do is either reset the program, or find the loose plug/sensor.

What i am worry about, is that he will blame my aftermarket speakers as the source of the problem. He is probably going to say that the shop didn't install it correctly or accidently took out the sensor or something. Thus, he will have to charge me for the 1 hour of diagnose.

Facts: I had the speakers/subs installed a month ago. The windows all worked fine up until 2 days ago. Therefore, i do not believe that the speakers are the cause of this problem.

What can i do if they claim/ or falsely accuse of my speakers being the criminal in this matter?

I checked the bbb, and they dont have a good record.

sigh. just my luck.

There's really nothing you can do. I took my 06 in the have them look at the front left window. They said the tinter did the damage, they told me it was going to cost $501 for the door panel and $150 for the work. I lucked out all they had to do was replace the inside window rubber.

Don't sweat it until they actually say what's wrong.

But my tinter never took apart the door panel.

If it turns out to be due to the speaker install (assuming you had a shop do it) dont have the dealer fix it. Call the shop and tell them what is going on and see what they will cover. Best to check with the source of the problem before spending your own money to at least let them know what is going on.

Find another dealer with a better reputation. Keep your mouth shut about the speakers. If it was indeed the speaker installation, they will find it on their own and you will know it's legit.

The fact that they specifically asked about an aftermarket speaker installation leads me to think that they've probably seen this issue in the past. Sounds like they may have a case.
