So I want to enhance the front appearance of my car ('05 NBP TL)...

I'm debating whether I should go with the front RonJon body kit only, dismissing the possibility of putting lower grill fogs, OR, getting an 07 bumper with fogs or integrating accord fogs.

Budget wise, the RonJon will cost approximately 650 shipped.
The 07 base front bumper + fog lights will cost pretty much the same thing.
Leaving my bumper and integrating the accord fogs will be MUCH cheaper--we're talking 50 for the accord fogs, and 50 for the H11 HID bulbs, and say 100 for the install, summing up to 200.

Functionality wise, the RonJon can be rendered "useless," only enhancing aesthetics. The fog lights obv are much more practical, as extra lighting in the nighttime is always safe.

So I guess the question is, would I rather go with enhancing looks, or enhancing functionality?

What would you guys do

you see that little area in the ronjon bumper on the sides... it would be a nice project to put LEDs with a custom fabbed plastic enclosure to form fog-light-like add on to the nice looking

the accord fogs are by far the best route you can take..

 

Does the price of the 07 bumper+fogs include the grille too? The 07+ grilles are larger than 04-06.

Like stillhere153 said.. i think you should go with the Accord fogs since you already have the A-Spec kit. If you were to go with the 07 bumper it wouldnt come with the A-Spec, nor would your current one fit on there.

And if you do go for the 07 bumper, why would you get the base, the TypeS is a little bit better because once RJ comes out with the lipkit, if he does, you can just add that on.

Those are a few of my thoughts

 

The 07 bumper doesn't include the grille and fogs.. which is why it would come out close to 600.. (yikes!) the fog lights are like 190 each.. so approx 400 for both and 200 for the bumper. I kinda like the 07 base a-spec but kinda don't. I don't know. And good point about the RJ Type S lip.. if he does come out with it. But jeez the 07 Type-S a-spec front lip is so ugly.. it's a mask not a lip.

 

Im talking about the big center grille. You would need a new one too. So that would run you I think more around $800ish?

Oh and for some reason I dont like that RJ front bumper on NBPs. If you paint the grilles silver, to me it seems like they stick out alottt more than the bumper does and it ruins the look of it, but thats IMO

 

I'm new here and dont know much abt this stuff..but I need to replace my bumper too. Just curious..I am assuming that there is a front only version of ronjon kit. Is it 650 painted or just the unpainted? sorry to hijack the thread but does it go ok with out the side skirts?Any idea how much the side skirts run? BTW my TL is SSM..

I say black out your healights and color match the chrome on the grill.

 

All the way up at the top right of the screen theres an advertisement for RonJon. Click on that and it will take you to his website. He offers a full body kit for the TL.

 

His headlights are already blacked out, but x2 for the color match grill. Thats my next thing.

bforbrian i think you should just go with the accord fogs and blackout the grill. you can get those 2 mods for less than the price of the bumpers.
