How to store the tl for 3-4 months?
I'm just wondering what has to be done to store the tl away for 3 -4 months come November. I've searched the internet and found some conflicting information.
I'm not sure if this makes a difference but the car is also a manual.
I remember when I stored my solara away for a 2 months the rear drum breaks stuck so not sure what i did wrong there.
Thanks in advance.

I would unplug the battery since there's a very small residual drain. It probably wouldn't go dead if you left it connected but you never know. You could always do fogging oil for the cylinders, requiring removal of the spark plugs to inject it but probablynot necessary for a couple months. An oil with a lot of ester like Redline racing oils would cling to parts much better than a dino or synthetic (PAO).
In short, unplug the battery, change oil to Redline and drive before storage.

Once again Seafoam is the solution
Fog the engine till it stalls thru the intake vac port- that will coat all the important parts with a hi detergent oil- not going to rust or absorb moisture~!
Put some in the gas tank 1 oz to 1 gallon, to prevent gelling of the fuel- and deal with condensation for you. The gas will be good when you return!!
Put extra/max cold pressure- air in the tires for storage time
Dont worry about anything else
Change the oil when you get back and take it on a good hour long drive to dry out the exhaust system

and the battery disconnect- be sure you know the security codes for radio and nav units
or get a battery tender that automatically comes on and recharges the battery and then shuts off
Easier to remove the neg cable at battery- remove battery if possible and store that on top of thick 4x4 type wooden block - on top of table- NOT!!! on the bare concrete or bare earth!!- that will suck the juice from it!
Sitting on its metal base in the car will drain it...so be prepared to recharge it on return

your really not in a situation that requires much work here...if i did anything, i would put a batter charger/trickle charger and top off the fuel tank and maybe add some stabil...but thats it, your not leaving it long enough for anything to go wrong....
Here's some storage tips out of the manual:

Get a trickle charger and leave the battery in the car. You may want to put the TL on blocks so the tires do not flat-spot. For whatever reason some tires when not rolled in months get really bad flat-spots which take weeks of driving to get back to normal.
Thanks! It's amazing what you can find when you search the forum. I got this out of the online manual, which is linked in the 3G TL garage.
I think you should consider that your brake disks can rust and deteriorate slightly. I've ended up re-grooving my disks after leaving the car outside in the carport for a month during rainy summer. That was a Honda Accord 97. The dealer said the car is designed to be used on a regular basis.
