Try 30+ times a week. Where's the option for those of us who open it up numerous times, each time we drive it?

Yep, per day would be better than per month. A couple hundred times maybe in a month

Im suprised to hear that, It sounds like you guys dont have 5AT. How does the car handle with that kind of driving on a daily basis?

I smoked my front tires accidently today when I was a bit late responding to a green light - my wife was not impressed

I have a 5AT TL. I just make use of every ounce of power on a regular basis. As far as "how does the car handle", I don't know what you are talking about. If you mean how does the engine handle it...then it handles it just fine. It doesn't matter how much throttle you give it. What matters is the RPM's. Stay below the redline and change your oil regularly and it's all good. :blaze:

Only when my wife isn't along. Unless I want to listen to a angry lecture followed by silence for the rest of drive.

I got that lecture after racing a 330i with the g/f in the car. I didn't get any for a week after that.

She doesn't like it much when I do open it up either, but she doesn't lecture me. I was already a gear head when she met me, not gonna change now. She tried to squash my quality time on the golf course too. That also didn't work. Marriage is about accepting the other for who they are not about trying to change them.

I usually floor it at least once a day. I do not leave it there and take it to red line all the time, but just a quick goose. Nothing wrong with it, I have driven that way since my first VW Bug. That car you had to floor it. Now if you mean, " Do we read line it every time we drive?", that would be different. But even then, a red line or 2 is fine...and fun.

yeah i am looking at 100+ times a month. on my way to school in the morning it is all highway and all empty, and not many cops around...you do the math . unless i am driving my brother, then i try to keep it under 100mph. just about every time i am on the highway for any stretch i open it up, i like to keep my travel times minimal.
