the wheel gap looks like a-spec suspension. Also there is a pretty good chance since there is the aspec steering wheel.

If the Apsec kit was done buy an Acura dealer, you should be able to ask Acura to check the VIN#. Acura Dealers are suppose to register them as such with Acura.

Just looked at it again, it has an Apsec badge, more than likely it has the suspension.

You are not going to get an 07 Apsec TL for $33k.

I think 28K might be a more reasonable price. The price of the Aspec kit doesn't warrant 30K. Most of the Aspec kit $$$ is labor to put it on.

Take a look at that driver's seat. It looks like the corner of the bolster has some tears in it.

^ I just meant a new TL -> no miles, no hidden problems, full warranty. Honda/Acura makes great cars but buying a used car is really iffy to me just cuz u never know how the previous owner treated it. A-Spec package is a big plus here but the dealer should really be willing to work with that price.

Good Luck.

On the dealer's website, they call it "Type S".

Looks sharp. Check Edmunds.com, KBB.com, nada.com, . . . to get an idea of the market value. Make an offer below this in order to negotiate.

I sent them a offer for $25k as it seemed reasonable, and they would meet me somewhere in between, but the guy tells me he can do $30k, and I am like, what type of salesmen are you!?

This is what he talking about. The white on the edge of the bolster. This happens mostly with people who wear jeans in their car. The e'ffing rivets on the side of the jeans.

30k for a used 05 TL with 37k+ miles....LOL

Why not just get a new one...and folk in the extra for navi and A-Spec. Atleast you will know it brand new.

It's a A-Spec, look at the steering wheel, the grey part. Non-Aspec don't have that. I say 22k is a reasonable offer, too much mileage.

I know its a little off topic but i was just wondering if Acura still made the A-Spec in 07 or did the Type-S just take over it. The body kits that acura sells on the website are just called OEM underbody kits not A-Spec (i havnt heard anything about aspec suspension in 07 either). Just a question that ive been thinkin about?

They are asking WAY too much

but this is common. Ask WAY too much and then some yutz will think he got a deal because his offer is $2K below the ask. Of course, it's still above the market value. 30K miles might not seem like a lot to some people but this may have been put in service in late '05 or even early '06 so this may really only have only been in service a year and a half. Make certain you ask for the "in service" date to determine the actual warranty timeline. IMHO 30K for a 30K mile car is WAY too much. I agree that the "street price" for that car "should" be between $26,500 and $28K (tops). The A-Spec is a nice plus but the reality is that the dealership certainly didn't give any significant premium to the guy who traded it in so why should they expect a premium when they sell it (especially since they don't appear to even know what it really is... not a TL-S). Consider the body Kit is now $700 and the wheels can be had for another $700. The suspension is $700 and the badge & wheel another $300 equates to $2,400 over a standard model. Standard valuation for a '05 in "good" condition is around $25K + that $2,400 yeilds $27,400 (and that would be my MAX). Oh yea, and they would need to "bring the car up to CPO specs by replacing the seat itself before I would even consider driving it off.

seems pricey...

Question: Don't the true a-specs come std with Brembos, or is that just something my dealership does?.... b/c all a-specs i've seen there have the brembo brakes with the black "ACURA" calipers.

That's way to much for 37,000mi., but I saw a dealership in CT selling the '06 TL-P for 34,000 A/T, and 28,995 for a '05 TL-P A/T with 35,000mi, so maybe it's because of the state you live in.

That's without NAVI, but I see your car has NAVI, so in all honesty it isn't that unreasonable.

Man you guys are getting freaked out!?

A-Spec Type of car like this new is $35k, and I wouldnt dare pay anymore than $26,000 for it, so tell me how $9,000 Savings after a year or year and a half with 37k miles is not worth $26k

Just cuz they are asking $30k doesnt mean they will get it, the car itself is valued at $26k Private Party Good, Add about a $1k for the a-spec package, and than add retail value, they arent askin something outrageous, just a starting point for bargaining, I will offer them $25k and than walk and call them back in a week for $26k and if they still say no, I will go elsewhere, but the car itself for $26k is a great deal, I dont like dealing with loans and thats my Max Cash that I can spend, and I hate buying BRAND NEW, as you lose tons of money, I will buy BRAND NEW sometime next year, but I need a car that would keep its value till than, if I buy one new, next year i would lose easily $5-6k,with this car I would lose Maximum $3k-$4k

Brembos are what the 04-06 6MT got whether Aspec or not. The autos didn't.

Yes, there is still an A-SPEC kit available for both models of the TL- base and TL-S.

I wouldnt sell my 05 Aspec/Navi for 26k, so I wouldnt expect a dealership to do it either.

Dude, I understand what you're going through. I just bought a blk/blk 04 TL with about 18K on it with NAV and A Spec Body and Rims for $25K yesterday at Acura of Riverside. They were originally asking for $31K. Bargain with them a little. It's also hard to find a blk/blk combination also. I was looking for about a month before I found this one.

PS: The driver's seat looks a bit compressed in one of the pictures.

Good luck on your search.
