Wow, everyone pays quite a bit.......... you know, if your young enough i guess, since older people dont have the problem your insurance salesman could probably get ya way lower insurance rates if u get like a family thing and just tell him to minimalize what he puts on your driving percentage maybe oh...... dad 80% you 20% =).
Bit underhand there, but still anything to keep insurance rates down xD. Btw you guys should try farmers with their new midcentury insurance company. drops insurance rates quite a bit given your a good driver

I'm 29, female, and own a '04 TL. I have American Commerce Insurance (Member of AAA... this is one of their companies they have auto insurance through). I pay $107/mth, and that includes a speeding ticket I received when I had my Jetta (ticket was 2 years ago so that should drop off soon).
Bodily Injury - $50/100K
Property Damage - $50K
Unisured bodily injury - $50/100K
Comp/Collision Deductible - $500
Also have Personal Injury Protection
*medical expenses, income loss, essential services (not sure what that is), funeral expenses, child care expenses)
GAP insurance (through my credit union)
Now I would like to get some feedback from the other TL owners out here.... Does anyone else have GAP insurance? If you do, what do you think about it? Is it good to have? Or is it just an unnecessary expense? And one last question.... is there anything I can do, like maybe raise my coverages to get the monthly cost of my premium to go down a little bit? Just wondering..... thanks in advance!!

$585 per year with Erie. We also have our home owners insurance with Erie. It's only $60 buck more per year than my wife's 99 LX Accord, perhaps due to all the safety features. Maybe I'll drop that car down to liability only.

It was a tough lesson but a good one for and be thankful no one got hurt.
I'm paying right at $1400 annually on my 05 TL 6sp, 06 Accord EX V6 Navi AT, and 03 Silverado SS AWD.
Good driver, 47 year old fart, single male (FYI for any fine hot mammas out there), and my company is USAA.

Believe it or not, I'm 23yrs old, and pay $45 a month for my 2005 NBP. I've had alot of speeding tickets including 1 that cost me about 300 bucks 3yrs ago. There are simple ways to reduce your insurance. I'm loving this TL a whole lot based on just my insurance. My last vehicle was a ford Expedition and I was paying ao much for indsurance. The TL is real expensive but the cheap insurance I pay makes it balance out perfectly for me. It's a dream.
And yeh, I do have full coverage PLUS sopme extra add-on's......
It's USAA
Oh yeah, I also had 2 fender benders in a 3month span. Both kinda weren't my fault tho........

I am 25 years old and I have Wawanesa insurance which is based out of San Diego California and I pay 767/year for 50/100 coverage. This is also along with another car and I get a multi-car discount, but they are the cheapest in California. The drawback is that if you have more than 1 point on your record they will discontinue your policy. Hands down the cheapest insurance in California. By cheap I mean good service, but cheap rates.

Damn! You guys are making me feel great. I just looked up our last 6 month statement.. Here's the breakdown:
Coverage: 250,000 / 500,000 / 100,000
Deductible: $500 collision / $250 comprehensive
2005 TL alone = $292 / 6 months ($584/yr)
2005 TL
1999 Grand Cherokee LTD
2002 Camry SE
$1320 TOTAL for all 3 for the year
This is with marriage, a current clean record, 2 kids, and we get mutiple-line discounts as we also have our home, wife's wedding ring, etc... insured through same place.
BTW - All you early 20's guys with high premiums, it will get better. When I was 19 I had already lost my license twice with the state (points from speeding and being stupid - no DWI) and once unofficially to my parents (when I was 17). My insurance premium was 3200/year (I paid) as I was flagged as a "high risk" driver. This was $3200 in 1992!
Just keep your $h!t together and you'll see your rates come down over time.

I'm in the military and have 2 addresses......... My base address and my best friends house where I help him out with bills now and then.
When you're getyting a quote from insurance companies they ask some key questions which alot of people answer with nonchalant dismissal. I used my military address to my benefit.
I told them I work and live on a ship so I dont have to drive to work AT ALL. I drive my vehicle on weekends every now and then to go shopping or a date here n there. Most vehicle miles are acquired on the way to and from work so if that's eliminated you pretty much aren't going anywhere on a regular basis. Asked how many miles I think I'll be putting on my vehicle in a yr, I said most probably under 6000 miles a yr cooly. I doubt that I'll be able to keep my mileage under 12000 in a yr given my current abode distance from work but hey, I have 2 addresses
Then I proceeded to tell them I'm pretty much buying the vehicle now so I can get it paid off int ime to finish my enlistment and have a paid off vehicle for a car-hassle free college.
Bottomline is, getting an apartment nextdoor too or as close as possible to your JOB could make a huge difference in your insurance. At the end of the day after a couple of months of recieving your insurance bills there you can change your address and let them know you've moved. Nobody is gonna revise your insurance just cos you changed addresses. Your insurance can rarely get upped on you mid contract or between contracts unless you've had some serious/fatal/DUI/stupid accident so you're gonna be stuck with that low insurance until you get rid of your current vehicle or something like that. I'm kepping my Acura for life simply for that insurance rate! Until I grad from college and get a real job.
I thought this all up on my own. I feel so smart. Yay!

I am with State Farm....pay $504.94 annually. 38/M
Again, have discounts for house, ect. also with same co.
I do note though...when I was 18...I bought a brand new 1987 IROC Z-28 5 Speed manual and paid $1833 ever 6 months! Insurance payment was more than my car payment every month...sucked! But I had to have the car and paid the price for three years.

I don't know the exact costs but I pay about $850 every six months ($1700 a year) for a 2006 TL and a 2003 Maxima SE in Chicago. I think the TL is about $450 every six months.
I have the following coverage for a 29 yr old married male and 29 yr old married female. I believe the TL is classified as a "leisure car" - less than 7,500 miles a year.
- 100/300 Bodily Injury
- 100 Property Damage
- 5000 Medical Payments
- 500 deductible Collision
- 250 deductible Comprehensive
- 100/300 UM/UIM Bodily Injury
I think I have the multi-policy discount through Allstate. I think the premium isn't too bad.

Now your age bracket has been typecast as a group of "dangerous drivers" because of those who preceeded you even if you haven't done anything wrong.
