^^^ I know. I had to go through a lot of shit to get that deal... The dealership owed me for the car that they first put me into. It all worked out in the end for me.
anyways, my 2008 6spd TL-S was $36.x including dealerfees n tax, got a few things from the dealership like trunk tray and extended warranty, they gave me $6,500 for my 2001 CL typeS with 112,000 miles on it. I didn't finance.
Leased mine. 3k out of pocket due at signing and $299 a month... the dealershiped owed me a favor from the past, or else no way I would've got that. This is with Navi 06TL. Im obviously buying my car at the end of the lease and that buy out is pretty good as well according to the pre-determined value on my contract.

My 2007 Type S was purchased by a guy in St. Louis in August 2007 and turned it back in to his dealership 2 months later because "he didn't like the paint job". Can you believe it???? I'm surprised he got Acura to "eat the car". He wound up buying the same car in a 2008. But my timing was great. I committed to the car on New Years Eve day. So it was the end of the month and end of the year as well. I just got lucky-I never considered a Type S because I knew they were close to $40k in price.

You are correct Steve, Honda Financial is the worst with negotiating leases at the end... know this from personal experience. That is why the manager at the dealership wrote the contract out through Hahn financial and I already knew I wanted to buy the car so I negotiated the price before writing up the contract so, even in todays market it is very comprable. I actually went in with the intentions of buying but he asked me to lease it as it had to do with some numbers on his end so that he can give me a good buy on the car, so I looked it over to make sure it was legit and pulled the trigger.
The problem is.. I wanted to buy it outright so that I don't get tempted into returning the car at the end of the lease but now... I don't know.. LoL.. I hate this addiction to want to have something new all the time.
'08 5AT, bought with 11 miles on the clock.
Purchase price: $32,500 out the door in August '08
Down payment: $15,000
Finance rate: 2.9 %
Finanace term: 60 months
Monthly payment: $372/mo
I'm getting ahead on my payments though and plan on paying the car off in 30 months. The nice thing is any extra payments go right into the principal and reduce the ammount financed

2006 WDP TL Nav Manual Certified with a BIG warranty and 28.5k miles for $25.5 total. A little high but Edmunds claimed $26.5 for that car, plus good luck finding a 2006 like this at an Acura dealer and Certified.

I bought mine from Manheim Auto Auction in PA. My uncle owns a shop in NY with a dealers license so I always get a good deal
