How many people want clear/smoked reflectors?
I know some one that could get clear or smoked reflectors made just like the stock ones.
Price for clear could be around $100 and for additional $10 for smoked.

Basically the yellow reflector located in the head light changed to eighter clear or smoked, hmmm that would be cool if you want to retain the reflectiveness or just take it out completely.
Is this a shop that does this? He can make any plastic any color we want?

edit: They might do it... but it'll cost another 10 like smoked. I will find out tomorrow and give you a definite answer.
Why don't we just stick with clear and smoked?

how would this work? do we send in our lights, or are we purchasing the clear/smoked reflecters to replace it with our amber ones?

is this $100/reflector? or $100 for the pair, b/c these reflectors are MAD expensive. ($65 or so on some websites). I was trying to mod it myself, but the DIY looked waay too complicated. If so, I'd love clear ones (er....white w/ hyperwhite LEDs)

You buy the reflectors and put them yourself or find some one to do it.

I think the feared process (mine at least) is opening the headlight enclosure, scraping the amber off, reassembling it, and hoping you've put enough sealant on there to keep it from fogging up.
I think I would prefer a simple solution of swapping the original headlight with one already cleared/smoked ... or having someone trustworthy do it

The shop that did my lights didn't put the lights it in the oven. Maybe some esle can jump in, the shop in Glendalde did my lights and I don't know how they opened it. One of my headlights kept fogging up, so I took out the signal bulb (as teh shop told me to do) and drove the car w/out bulb for few days, the moisture was gone and never had problem with it again.

Take a trip to Glendale and have the shop there do it for you... Glendale isn't far from you, I came all the way from Fresno.
so are you in now?

Yes you need to bake your headlights in order to get inside unless you use a hair dryer to heat up the seal. But its a pain! I tried this but it took to long, and it didn' really come apart, so I just baked them....

shipping for me is impractical,as I need my car daily (including night driving). Might consider driving there, sacrificing 1 day and having them do it. You already have yours cleared, are you unhappy with it? (turn signal light output, legality issue ,???) Would you have the same shop crack yours open again to install these?

I had "someone" in NJ do it the first time (while my car was in body shop). I was unhappy with his work because it kept fogging up (my dumbass didn't take out the signal bulb to let the moisture out), so I decided to take the trip to Glendale and have them do it. They repainted them to "shiney black" and as soon as I got back the same light fogged up. I called them and I was told to take out the signal bulb.
Yes I would let them do it again... I don't want to touch the headlights either, also they have done many TLs.
