how to JDM a 07 WDP TL ?
well guys, i was wondering how to jdm my tl. the first thing i was thinking of doing was to debadge the back. Replacing the "ACURA" with HONDA "TL" with [chinese symbol]MUGENPOWER and the "A" with a red "H". For the front, I can get a BIG red H emblem.. tell me what you guys think

Leave it as is. Plus they dont even sell the TL in Japan, so wouldn't that mean you can JDM it? Iono maybe I'm wrong. Just dont change Acura to Honda please.

You can't JDM a car for which there is no JDM version--our 3G TL is a unique design for the North American market, though it is being shipped to China for their market now. There are no Mugen parts for our TL, just a one-off body kit that appeared almost four years ago, so you can't use the Mugen (Japanese, not Chinese) symbols.

Im not feeling the honda conversion much either, you pay for an acura why would you want to degrade it to a honda? I do like some of the JDM conversioned TSX's but it just wouldnt seem right on a tl, because it is more pricey and more luxurious. But thats just me.

If you want... someone already mentioned debadging. Just take all the emblems off and roll clean then. But then again... to each his own, I guess.

this is old picture, i took out all the black plastic in the engine bay..only have 1 pic of it and its already posted, maybe ill take more next week when i debadge and paint calibers

1st. JDM stands for Japan Domestic Motors... This car wasnt made in JAPAN
2nd. Look at the VIN, it starts with a 1, meaning its made in america... Example the TSX n Lexus IS, SC, RX or the Honda Rsx it starts with a J... see the Resemblance J.... JAPAN
3rd. your an idiot
and last but not least... give up the TL n get your self a Crx or sumthing... you still need alot of growin up..

^It doesn't need to be built in Japan to emulate the JDM look, it just needs to have a JDM spec counterpart.
The current accord for example, here it's an Accord over here and built here, in Japan it's an Inspire and built over there. Same car, different specifications.

I love people who think jdm is something you can just do to any car. makes me really want to stop my jdm conversion. I had a kid come up to me the other day and ask me what jdm parts he could get for his focus.

yea red Honda is pushing it, i think black would look better if anything (big accord "H"... like on the TSX")... lol
but yea i say go for it, i mean so few TL members go out of the box... few members even have the guts to even black-out there headlights let alone take off there bumper... drill/cut this and that ... off there TL... (LIKE MYSELF !!!)
however, it doesn't sound like you're doing that much except some cheap asthetic work (calipers/emblems.. i mean why not go all out)
and plus that photoshop picture yo got there already looks like a member on here has done....
heres some pics of accuratine's TL
in my opinion no member has gone as far his him,,, maybe i'm wrong, but until i see some pictures/specs... he's the god of TL's.... i still can't believe he stripped his seats out and threw in a roll-cage, i give him props till this day man

This thread just made me realize something. I can sortof see why Honda/Acura isnt selling the TL in Japan. They dont want to turn it into another 'Riced' car like RSX's (hence they are stopping the RSX). In order to have the image of an upscale brand, they dont want the ricers influencing the vehicles image and brand recognition.

buhhbuhh, do you have a pic of Acuratine's rear seat? because i read somewhere that he put racing seats in there too.. And also, im putting my red Recarro racing seats in October, both driver and passenger, their in my friends basement now covered with garbage bags
