I put this in, not to encourage anyone to do the same but because Ontario has a new punishment for 31mph over the limit -- $2002 and no car or license for at least 1 week. (Somehow the '1 week' sounds a little lame compared with the $2000)

I got a summons on Thanksgiving for doing 91/60 in NC... I was driving from NY to ATL. I got a citation to show up in court in Gaston, NC. The date was yesterday, I payed an attorney to show up for me, $120 for the fee, $125 for court fee and $80 dollars for an online defensive driving course. The attorney said he can get me off with no fine. I have to call on monday to find out the outcome. Lucky I dint get caught when I was doing 140mph on I 95 somewhere before you get to I 85 st.petersburg. I gotta be honest, after this experince I avoid speeding, as much as I love. Cruised control on the way back... and here is the difference.....12 hours from NYC to Atl...3 1/2 tanks.......coming back on cruise control.... 2 1/2 fill up.. averagingaout 36mpg ... yes 36... i was shocked. I only have 6500 miles on my tl

04TL stock. Had it up to 95 the day I first drove it. It had 35k on it at that time. Funny thing was it was on an LA freeway and I thought I was going 70! This thing is scary smooth......

Mach 3 - Pushed it out of the rear of a B2 bomber. It never has cornered QUITE as well ever since. Maybe I'll put it out on the Black Market section of this site to see what I can get for it. LOL!

I've been up to 155 a bunch of times... and then she wouldn't go anymore, still had the foot on the floor with plenty of RPM's to go and space though... Kinda shitty considering i used to take my buddies EVO up to 175+ and my old STi up to 170...

Also on another note... My worst Pull-Over was racing from a stop(my STi vs. friends EVO) and getting caught doing 130 in a 35 with 2 passengers in each car.... Also, it is a school zone in front of the high school i attended at the time, but it was around midnight so that did not matter... Anyhow, the cop made us get out of cars and put us against the cars, but luckily a back was being robbed and he had to leave, so we got off with nothing...

I've gone 132 on my '03 TL-S... 145 on a '92 NSX... Could've gone faster on both but thought that was more than enough for me...

I did go about 180 on one of my skydives, though!

Both at 2am on the 73 freeway near Laguna Beach. Literally no cars (and cops) for miles in both directions.

I was in a friend's RX-7 last week, same freeway, same time. We were doing donuts in the middle of the freeway.

Oh yeah I forgot to add that I'm 17 so I guess according to other older drivers on this board I'm stupid and immature with everything I do in my car...

I've hade my TL TYPE-S for three days. I am just getting an opportunity to open it up a little. I took it up to 100mph just today. I've been 160 in my heavily modded '98 eclipse gsx. People worry to much about the said break-in period of a car. Excessive heat can lead to oil breakdown or detination which causes engine damage. The average person is not going to have their car at maximum speeds long enough to cause this type of wear. The cars in stock form are tuned well enough that they wouldn't run lean either. You just have to think about what you are doing when you are out there driving. Have enough sense not to test your car on busy roadways or bad weather conditions.
