How do I remove the tail lights?

How do I remove the tail lights?

I want to cover my tail lights with the smoke film I bought, but I can't remove them. I removed the four screws and the light comes loose, but I can't pull it out. What do I do? Should I just try and add the film without taking the lights out?

if you are just doing the smoke firm, why are you removing your tailights?????

to remove tail lights, you will need to remove your bumper.....

bumper removal requires about 4 screws and like 6 honda clips... once you have the bumper off you can see the bolts on the outside that hold the tails... following that you will have to remove the trunk carpet around the tail and you will see another 3 or 4 bolts... easy as pie

BAM!

Here is a video, search option is a beautiful thing. I don't think removing the bumper was as easy as everyone says but oh well, took me a good 1.5hrs for removal and installation.

+1 for the bumper removal being a bitch. I watched the video and thought piece of cake. It's not actually that tough, but it was like an hour + job to do.

Not to mention you might as well go on ebay and order new clips now. I had just replaced my tails last week, and I still have my front bumper off. I think we were about 50/50 in getting the clips off without breaking them.

Dealer = $3.04/clip. Ebay = $15/20 clips

It's super easy, you don't even need to remove the bumper completely.

Basically:

remove the mud flaps & brackets

remove 2 top corner screws in the wheel well area & 2 screws in the trunk jam behind the little covers.

pry out the bumper ends and push back to access the 2 bracket bolts for the bottom tail light bracket.

remove the nuts behind the tail lights in the trunk
