How do I remove sidemarkers?

I have an 04 TL and I want to change the bulbs on the four sidemarkers on the oustide corner to LEDs. By the way what LED bulb size will fit into the sidemarkers? Anyway how do I remove the two front side markers and the two rear side markers ? Do I need resistors for these anyways? Thank you!

you mean the side-side markers, or the turn signals on the corners? because i think the actual side markers are already LEDs. and i have never removed them, but i dont think they are that hard. i think the rear ones just require you to remove the trunk lining.

the turn signals at the corners will require resistors in order to blink in sync with the rest of the car.

I was thinking of getting switchback's led blinker's (white/amber) but I think the white with the amber sidemarker is gonna throw off the look. anyone swap the sidemarker led's with switchbacks?

This has been covered 98 times in the passed 2 weeks, and you're in every one of those other threads.

How could you not possibly know the answer to this?

Huh?
switchback is a 1157/7443 "based" led cluster. The side marker is PCB based module that runs at 5V. They're not interchangeable.

Has anyone made a custom PCB based switchback to go into the sidemarker... No.

how would you go about making a custom a custom board? Is it even possible? I can get a set of markers for free so I was gonna attempt this. I pretty much thought you couldn't just get a switchback, pick off some bulbs, and then attach to existing board. If it's more $$ and a headache than it's worth i'll just stick with the amber.

Not very hard, but it's not as easy as you describe.

1) you need another wire, a tap off the turn signal. The turn signal don't blink for a reason, there's no wiring there to support the blinker function.

2) leds require proper resistance, so you really need 2 seperate circuits... Relays to break the connection between the 2...

It's a great idea, but requires a total fab job to work.

totally doable if you have the brain and time to do it. If anyone pulled off a double switchback like that I would go nuts!! How about a triple switchback with rear sidemarkers too?? Crazy! If I had money to kill I know I could find someone to design that.
