Smile Honda rules! - first issue at 95k miles

I really have to brag on my mid-2004 model year TL with 95k miles. I just had my first "failure" on this car - the drivers side window has stopped working, and I need to take it in for repair. Not bad for a first year production model.

So, in the first 95k miles, I have: changed the oil, changed the anti-freeze once, changed the transmission fluid once, two new sets of tires, and replaced the battery at about 3 years (expected).

I'm even on the first set of brake pads. What a car.

I own or have owned nine Honda vehicles (not including motorcycles or mowers) in my relatively short 45 years. Four were bought new, five used.

They have all been outstanding vehicles. Honda rules...

I also have an 04 and if it can go to 95k with nothing but routine maintanence I'll be very happy. That's why I bought an Acura! Can't help but laugh at the BMW guys who have to visit the garage all the time after 30k.

I have a 97 Acura TL. Bought it in jan 2008 with 110000 miles drove it 12000 miles until today, so can't say anything about it. But my dad's 2003 Accord LX 2.4l is amazing, visited dealer just once and that was for a recall for windshield wiper motors. still everyting original at almost 70K(brakes, tires..everything you can think of..just regular oil changes and coolant change, will change tranny oil soon)

I've always been told that BMW's are the German Honda's. I think it's interesting that the people who tell me that are Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche owners. They are actually trying to insult BMW's.
I am not a fan at all of BMW's, but think that's particularly funny. I keep being told that BMW's are good for about 45,000 miles and then are just nothing but a headache. So...... how are they like Honda's then? I always respond by saying that what they mean to say is that BMW's are like Jaguar's. At least that makes more sense.
Oh yeah, and having owned several BMW's I also know they are wrong about the 45,000 mile thing. I've never been able to go more than 4,000 miles without having to take mine in.

YES! I only own Hondas as well, They rule!
Everyone thinks I am strange because I am so anal about this. I recently bought a powerwasher and had to make sure it had a Honda engine, I know, that's bad.
I could have killed my husband when he bought a new street bike this year and didn't go with a Honda but there was just something about that Hayabusa that he had to have

My TL has about 62k on it and I have not needed to make any major repairs. We also have a 97' Accord with 245k on it and have only had to replace the clutch, nothing major...

When I changed my rotors and pads at 55k Marcus at Heeltoe told me I still have 50%+ life on all my pads and the rotors were perfect. This was with 25,000 miles of the 55 with 20' rims.

Really? I don't think I've ever made it past 50k miles on one set of pads. But I do tend to abuse my brakes...
