Honda DW-1 vs Acura DW-1

Hi all! Been awhile since I was here but obviously I own an 05 Acura TL however since it been so long is there a difference in Honda DW-1 to the Acura DW-1? I currently have 117k miles on my TL and no I don't remember what ATF was put in before. Which one should I use and 3 quarts?

Honda and acura fluids are all the same they just have different labels on them. I have found at my local dealerships that the fluids are much cheaper from honda.

I have heard the Canadian DW-1 and the US DW-1 fluids are a bit different. Something about the the Canadian fluid being synthetic and US not. I have to go digging for it.

I know in the U.S its the same chit. Sometimes the Acura fluid is more $ because it says Acura on it.

Like always "ACURAZINE" never lets me down! Thanks for the response guys. I have chosen the Honda DW-1 since it's less expensive and the same product.

What the pricing down in the states? Up here in Canada i've called a couple Dealers and they seem to be universally 10.28/L. Even the Honda dealers are charging the exact same price for it.

How much are US dealers charging per liter (or in....? quarts?) Pretty sure US uses quarts LOL

Here in Long Island i paid about 80 for 8 quarts. So about 10 dollars a quart, give or take

Most important thing is getting the crappy Z-1 ATF out of your transmission!

Buy a case at a time and your dealer will give you a better price.
