Highest mileage original 5AT
Curious who has the highest mileage original 5AT (specifically the 04-06) and what you have done to make it last. I'm a data whore, so the more data points we have the better. I would like to know (1) year and your current mileage and how long you have owned her (2) what maintenance has been done, and (3) what driving conditions your car is subjected to. My goal is to pool enough data together to make this glass transmission last as long as possible. I'll start even though my TL is still a spring chicken.
1) 06, 76,000 original owner - shifts 100% perfect
2) 35,899 - replaced pressure switches and 1x3 DW1
36,276 - 1x3 DW1
36,400 - 1x3 DW1
38,648 - 1x3 redline type f
41,369 - 1x3 redline type f, type f LW, D4 combo
61,730 - replaced trans filter
63,503 - 1x3 redline type f, type f LW, D4 combo
3) 80% highway 20% city
Florida - hot, humid, flat

210,000km og tranny. car has lived in northern canada its whole life, regular fluid changes, still drives perfect...
my old 02 type s is still going on OG tranny well over 320,000 kms. Not sure why ppl says these are shitty transmissions and that once over a certain mileage they will blow.
Both my TL's have been subject to extreme temps and no issues

Not sure if there's way to verify original 5AT though. Only have to count on words of the poster.

One poster reports 322,000 miles
My TL just turned 322K miles and I had the Flashing Engine light come on. I am the original owner on this 3G and have had it since January, 2004. She has been to Illinois, Florida, New Hampshire and everywhere in between far too many times to count. New York City and Philadelphia frequently as well. This has been an ultra low cost car to own and this engine fix as well. $302 after tax and diag to replace Cylinder 2 coil and plug. I have done multiple trans fluid exchanges (at home fashion) and only use Amsoil for the trans and engine oil. I only did spark plugs once and have done the timing belt twice at 140K and 270K. The seats have cracked from long term wear and a lack of conditioning and care on my part. Sad really because otherwise, no one would ever believe it even had 100k on it.

My last Accord I had I put in 280K mi on original AT with little maintenance and I was too lazy and forgot to replace the timing belt and that went so I changed to the TL.
My 06 has 166K and I am planning to get AT LEAST another 100k out of it!

I would agree with that but in my case. I've babied my car. changed trans fluid every 2nd motor oil change and changed pressure switches. Now transmission goes at 169k miles.
used oem fluids btw.
i dont speed around or drive hard. Thats what my S4 is for.
So im surprised the trans went at this mileage. Oh well.

I have 200k miles on my 07 Accord V6, which uses the same auto tranny as the 3G TL. 3x3 with DW-1 fluid every 15000 miles. SHIFTS LIKE NEW. Changed pressure switches once only at 150k miles. OE transmission filter changed twice only. No external cooler. You should not even take chances with aftermarket fluid. I read the threads about flaring and "right percentage" for Redline.... what is the point?

there is a chance that it got beat by the previous owner but for 170k miles espcially if you live in a big city like new york, LA, Houston etc.. where traffic jam is daily... I would say your AT did a great job.

About 109k miles on original tranny and first ATF change at 50k miles, 3rd/4th switches at 60k miles, and now a 1x3 change every other oil change. Car driven normally, not abused. Car runs great so no issues yet.
I'm the original owner.
I use Castrol Z1 compatible Multi Import formula ATF and have since first ATF change- I use the high mileage version of this now.
