Just over 180k miles on my 07 Type-S - second owner. The car runs like a dream. No major problems whatsoever. Just the regular problems that wouldn't surprise you for its age/mileage, like starter, EGR valve, A/C relay. All other things that "need" fixing are cosmetic - I've got one sidemarker that goes out whenever it rains, since it's cracked and water seeps in, and I really don't feel like pulling back the tire liner again, after having to do that for my LED turn signal mods. I've also got a few buttons around my nav that don't light up anymore, but I really don't care about that.

Just made it passed 10,000 miles now on my 07 S 6mt.

Kind of funny I bought my car about 7 months ago with 5,000 miles and I just hit 10k now. So even though I don't drive it a ton, I have put the same amount of miles on my car in 7 months that it took the original owner to put on in 7 years :-) Does that make sense? Lol

The dealer traced the problem to the connector that connects to the NAVI unit saying that it is loose causing an intermittent (though it is off 99.99% of the time) connection. They recommend picking up a used NAVI unit to remedy it because of the cost of a new one.

I haven't had a chance to take a look myself to see if I can hard wire the connection but it's ludicrous. Voice control is my best friend here...
are you a good solder iron worker? if so, you can easily replace the ribbon cable yourself or you can see who makes it and talk to them to see how much to repair the conection

154000 km. 2nd owner. No issues except passenger seat warmer light stopped working. Great car. I live in Canada and we had record cold temperatures in my city this year (-38°f/-39°c on New Years morning w/o wind chill). I don't even plug it in.

07 TL Base, 88K miles, runs perfect. I change my own oil (Mobil 1 5-20) when the car says to. I get 23-24 MPG city, and 32-34 MPG highway, but I drive easy for mileage. Houston city driving can have nice runs on the interstate, so definitely not all stop and go.

I took the car on a trip to Smokey Mountains in Sept, it was a PURE DELIGHT to drive! On the way I took a foothills parkway, very twisty, had a bunch of motorcyclists having fun on the road, and I had some fun to! Car performs very nice for what it is; its not a Porsche, but its fun in its category. Drove about 650 miles on leaving, Gatlinburg to New Orleans and was not tired when we arrived. Wife and I switch drivers every 3 hours or so.

When leaving Gatlinburg, all morning we were on 4 lanes roads, but limited to 60 MPH. I averaged 37 MPG! Tires were inflated perfectly, 34 front, 32 rear. When we hit the interstate, it had warmed up and we were running 38 front and 36 rear. On the interstate we were getting 35 MPG. When I pulled into New Orleans, we had averaged 36 MPG for the day, almost totally on cruise control, driving the speed limit. Probably had a new air filter in there.

The only problem I ever had with my TL was with excess tire wear when new. At about 30K miles, took it to the dealer (after someone else had done an alignment for the wear, but it was still incorrect, cost me a set of tires by 30K), and dealer said a "subframe shift" was necessary, cost $400 and they did the alignment, then $700 for a new set of tires. I don't think I did anything wrong, I think it was built wrong from the factory.

Overall, I love my TL (my second one, first was a 2000 model with the transmission problem). I'm thinking about getting a 3rd TL in a couple of years. This one is def. good for two more years.

160k on '07 with Navi. Only problem was a steering rack around 125k. Very slight oil leak on oil pump...just keeping an eye on it. Hoping to get another 100k b/f I get too tempted by TLX. Have only owned Acura since 1988. Still drives and rides great.

04 White TL

I have a 2004 TL I purchased in 06 with 47k on it and now I have 267k

just got the trans rebuilt, rear main seal and all motor mounts done 2 weeks ago.

I have changed the
starter
power steering pump
timing belt and water pump
valve cover gasket
steering wheel due to wear

and all the normal wear and tear items

I want to get 300k out of it
it still drives strong and I'm getting 25mpg in mixed driving

My 04 TL has 164K. I bought new in Oct 2004. Been a great car. I have changed the timing belt twice, serviced trans twice, water pump, starter, power steering pump twice, leaking, 2nd time under warranty, all motor mounts, all trans mounts and front and rear main seal. I also replaced the air cleaner rubber tube that connects the throttle body to filter box. It was hard and cracked. Changed 3 door lock actuators and the accelerator sensor assembly and replaced the struts. I run Mobil 1 and change about every 8-9k. Seems like alot of service but she's almost 10 years old and I have NO CAR PAYMENTS. I hope to get 300K out of her! Oh, I buy my parts at www.hondaacuraonline.com.

2007 127k miles, just completed a valve adjustment after a successful DIY TBelt job.

Things to watch out for in-my-experience:

Spark plugs backing out in the rear middle cylinder (regardless of using a torque wrench, happened to me and dried up the spark plug tube seal gasket, leading to a slow leak.

Oil pump leak when switched to part-synthetic diet

Trans pressure switches and new fluid keep shit running mint, do them as often as your wallet allows (~30k miles)

LCA bushing tear real easily

Be careful with valve cover bolts, these break easily under light torque.

04 non Navi previously salvaged due to left door hit. 158k miles, Acura maintained until 139k. Feels like it may need another trans flush, the idle is odd once in awhile, and the compliance bushings are torn. Also have a noise from the right side while turning and accelerating I cant figure out.

At 124,000. Just did the timing belt and it's idler and tensioner pulleys, hydraulic tensioner, water pump, cam seals, serpentine belt and it's idler and tensioner, motor mounts, tires, radiator cap, thermostat, pressure switches, air intake pipe, and all fluids. I wanted to do the brake pads but they all look new still. Hopefully it's ready for the next 100,000 miles.

42,000 on my 2006 TL. I'm getting my timing belt changed tomorrow. I'm told that it should be changed due to age since the milage is so low. I absolutely love this car. I bought it 2 years ago with only 12,000 miles on it and have had no issues at all. I just wonder why this car does not come with a timing chain vs. a belt.
