hid oem bulb
hid oem bulb
just bought a bulb for my 06 tl and the light is a different color than the other side, service advisor said it takes a thousand hours of burn time to set itself for the blueish white color to kick in,is this true?
i think when they are new they are brighter. so naturally its not gonna match, your car is an 06. it's three years old! so im assuming the bulb is as well. just get a pair and be done with it
HID's colorshift after a hundred or so hours of use. You should ALWAYS replace bulbs in pairs, esp HID bulbs. I suggest that you get another bulb so they match in color and output the same amount of light.
this is why you are supposed to replace bulbs in pairs,
and why many go to an aftermarket bulb at half the price- dealer bulb $175 each
Kaixen brand from our sponsoring vendor Excelerate are 110 per pair
It takes about 100 hours of use, not 1000, to burn the bulb in-
to where it actually gets a little brighter and slightly more blue
They will NEVER match, not gonnan happen as stated above
Go tell the service writer to get his facts straight
the bulbs last about 3000 hours- and he thinks its 1000 to burn in?
