Have you looked into new bulbs? That would be my first suggestion before buying ballasts especially since our OEM ballast mount on the bottom of the headlights and the ignitor is ran through the bottom of the headlight as well, with an aftermarket ballast set up you will have an open hole where the OEM should be.

If you want a ballast upgrade, you can always look into 50w ballasts though. This does run with some problems though as well. Some have ran 50w ballasts, but you then run into possible melting of the chrome bowl inside the projectors, running 35w bulbs with a 50w ballast will significantly decrease the lifespan of the bulbs. They do make 50 D2S HID bulbs, but nothing that is oem unless you can find some used DL50 fatboys.
Aftermarket ballasts will require rewiring to the OEM harness to be able to work.

As I suggested before, look into new bulbs (I have recomendation if you want them, also depends what kelvin temperature you are looking at achieving) change the OEM fresnel lens to ZKW-r clear lenses, if you really want to get nit-picky, you can create a hybrid projector utilizing 04-06 step cutoff shields paired with 07-08 bowls.

Xb35 are an aftermarket bulb. Can't expect to have perfect results with those plus xb35's are rated at 6000k. The CBI's are rated at 5000k. If your not to particular with the color of the bulbs I may suggest osram svs or CBI's.
