Hey guys, new here
Hey everyone, I'm currently shopping for an 07-08 tl type s since they have always caught my eye as a good looking car. I'm not much of a sedan person but my back is jacked up so I gotta sell my truck and I'm looking at buying one of these since my wife and I are wanting kids in the next couple years.
I have one question I couldn't find while searching and it's probably stupid but what's with the white leather option? I'm looking for white on black, maybe blue, not sure yet. Thanks guys I'll be on here searching and reading up on these for. While-

I'm not sure what you're asking.
But the TL-S is a pretty smooth blend of sport/family car. That's the reason behind my choice. I've been driving 2-seater sports cars forever and ever. I chose the TL-S as a means of keeping the sporty look and feel while not sacrificing for a backseat (kids) in the future.
Do a dealer search on the acura website. Make sure to get a list of all the dealers from as far around as you're willing to travel, and shoot them a mass e-mail telling them what you WANT. No compromise, tell them exactly what you want in your car.
If they say "We don't have a Type-S but we do Have an 07 with XXk miles and blah blah blah..." tell them NO you want the Type-S. Don't commit to future wishing-regret.
I'm sure something will turn up, or turn up in time. This isn't eHarmony. Took me close to a year to find my perfect match.
good luck in your search.

Lol, nice. My question is, was the white interior just an option or was that a special package. I really am not a fan of it and prefer the dark interior so I wasn't sure if there would be an easier way to search while I'm looking. I can't give up performance completely, I have a jacked up, fast diesel that I love but I need something that has a better ride so I don't wear out my lower back and this vehicle seems like the perfect option for me. Has pretty decent performance and I would probably just add some better subs and amplimo the windows and call it a day, maybe a remote start but who knows lol.
The interior didn't come in white. If you are referring to the taupe interior, yes it was an option. The other option on the TL-S is the two tone black and silver interior. That is the one that you will probably want since you like the darker interior. White with the Two tone interior is one of my favorite color combos.
Also, to answer your question, I'm pretty sure the two tone is more common than the taupe on the TL-S. I'm not a fan of the lighter interior either.
I think this car would be a good choice for you. It's a good compromise between sporty and a family car. And If you happen to catch the mod bug I don't think you will be disappointed with what you can do to it.

two tone Ebony/Silver:
two tone Taupe/Ebony (it's considered two tone because of the black stitching on the taupe door side panels):

Hope this help!

OP I want Ebony/Silver interior but at the time there are impossible to find one and even I manage to find one they are over price by $2k-$3k over the market price for a Type S. I found out that Ebony/silver interior hide the leather crack/wrinkle very well, Taupe in the other hand show crack and wrinkle more than dark interior color. I see that two tone interior makes the TL looks sporty and the Taupe interior makes the TL looks more luxury than sport. However you will find that Taupe interior doesn't looks that bad once you see it person, the black stitching on the door panel on taupe leather giving out more contrast than Ebony counter part. Good luck with the purchase and makes sure you get the PPI (pre purchase inspection) done prior to purchase the car to avoiding future headache, keep us update lol.
here a pic of my interior

As far as the ppi, I've been a mechanic for the past 12 years so I'll most likely be doing that myself. I'm trying to avoid asking all the questions that noobs ask but I've seen the trans will have issues, ticking/knocking and a few other minor things. I know these cars are quick and I may be alone in saying this but I prefer the type s over the a spec kit, and I really like the stock rims lol. Here's what my driveway looks like now, the truck is for sale right now and I'm going to test drive one today to see how I like it.
And I installed all 2011 interior with air conditioned seats, tune, exhaust, intake, head studs, egr delete, oil and coolant bypass filters, injectors, and I can keep going and going so I definitely have the mod gene I'm just going to try and ignore it lol

I'm not familiar with yalls paint codes yet but blue, white and the grey ish copper color I like with ebony interior

the color you mention above is KBB (Kinetic Blue Pearl), WDP (White Diamond Pearl) and CBP (Carbon Bronze Pearl). Your chance of getting KBB and CBP in Ebony/Silver are slim, most of the listing is for Taupe interior but with WDP you will have better chance find one with two tone seat

Thanks guys, looks like I have a buyer for the truck so I'm in the market. Lookin for somethin around 17k plus or minus a few grand. Only thing I'm going to do right away is limo tint the windows, add my amp and subs to the stock radio, I'll probably end up making a box for them. Then adding a iPod/iPhone interface that can charge it and play through the radio. I do kinda like the spacers in the wheels to where they sit almost flush with the body but most tire places won't reinstall those if I take it in to get the tires rotated so well see.
I have been searching a ton and don't see any huge issues, so what are the problematic issues with these cars?

all. the. rattling!
Rattles can be hunted down and killed. I've knocked out 90% of mine with relative ease.
Sweet Ford man. Not a big truck guy myself, but those are damn nice looking. Which one are you selling?

Nice looking trucks.
When you find the TL you want, I would say take it for a drive to see any rattle, and turn the stereo way up. Like he said, most rattles can be hunted down. The only one I've had is the rear deck vibrating against the rear window which was an easy fix. Some people are not so lucky though.
