Help transmission

Hi, I have a 2005 TL automatic with 183,000 miles. The transmission started slipping bad a few days ago. In November 2024, the transmission started slipping I took it to the Acura dealer they flushed the transmission and it worked normally until now. It must have a leak I didn’t know about because the fluid was low. I topped off the fluid but it still slips unless I barely give it any throttle. I know the external filter is easy to change and I can do that, but I don’t know if that’s going to help. I’m afraid it needs a new transmission. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

#1 - I would suggest searching and reading in here. Two decades of posts in here with history on transmissions.
#2 - You didn't mention the condition/color of the fluid that is left. I am assuming very dark and burnt smelling.
-- have you been doing any other fluid maintenance at all?
#3 - You need to inspect it more to figure if you have a leak or if it is getting hot and coming back up the fill tube
#4 - Based on the past history of the transmissions in these, I would most likely guess it is done and needs replaced or rebuilt. Unclear if this is the original transmission or not...but at 183k on an early 3G automatic...you did good.

Replacing fluid with Maxlife help my transmission for a few years. It was Acura TL 2003.
