Beg them it will match the car's paint.

Ask them about their warranty, which is most important down the road...
If they are a reputable shop, I woudn't worry too much.
If they're a sketchy shop, I would skip...

Just curious, how much are they running you for? I need my bumper painted too so I'm trying to find a right price to get it done for.

If they did a great job on your RSX bumper, I would tell them to do the same thing on your TL.

paint match the bumper to the car. make sure that if the bumper is a replacement that it is OEM.

while yes the bumper may initially look great and flawless, blah blah blah....you hope that the painter is competent enough to make sure everything is PREPPED correctly.

i've been down this path. had my rear bumper replaced b/c i was rear ended (lightly) by a POS lancer. the so-called reputable high end shop managed to get the bumper replaced and painted it. yes, the bumper looked immaculate...until....2 yrs later, mysterious bumps appeared during a wet spell, then disappeared. then literally a year later we had another really bad wet spell, and the blisters in the paint of the bumper emerged with avengence and they did not go away. after barking up a few trees (lifetime warranty), the sister shop of the original shop redid the work and essentially replaced my bumper and resprayed (they took ever single precaution to make sure there was no chance for possible contaminants to settle into the paint (which was the probable cause of the first failure-contaminants in the prep phase before they even put the base coat on).

bottomline, let the shop know you are anal about your car and that you have high expectations. if you dont' care, then fine. the body shop i've worked with knows that i'm VERY particular and VERY anal about my car, they take a few extra measures to make sure i'm a happy duck when all is said and done.

^^This!! ASM/SSM are like WDP, the rear bumpers rarely ever match the rest of the car, even from the factory!
