post some pictures of the damage. If it's really deep, then you will need to get the car repainted. Also for future protection, get a full car clearbra installed. I think 2 of the members here got their entire car done for about 1k.

I totally feel you. My driver side was totally scratched when I drove into the bushes on the shoulder of the freeway (2 months ago, when my car is about 6 months old). It pretty much messsed up entire one side, but luckily after careful inspection the scratches didn't go past the paint, apparently just into the clear coat. I had it buffed out at a local wash shop and it turned out fine..charged me 110 for it.

I guess the question here is how deep the scratch is...if you can feel it going all the way thru the paint to the actual surface, then I believe you need to get it repainted..which will cost a lot.

Above post says 1k for clear bra? Wow that is quite an investment to protect the paint...

The clear bra in only for 17" of the hood, front bumper, mirrors, and part of the fender. I can install it for the guy, just PM me. And for those people that paid $1k they got ripped off

csmeance was litterally talking about putting the coating all over the car, not just the hood coverage

How much would you charge to put 3m protection on an entire vehicle? I'm sure after custom cutting the pieces it would be a pretty close bid to this one.

To tell you the truth, it would take probably 4 days of work. The film is only 24" wide, so all the cutting and butting the plastic end to end, wouldnt look too good on the darker colors such as NBP. I havent heard of everyone getting their entire car done? Or did those people do the entire hood, entire fenders, and front bumper?

When you buy film in bulk, you can purchase 48" rolls. I remember reading where members covered doors, bumpers, whole hood just about the whole vehicle.

that's nothing...some WRX members use that rhino liner on their whole car. It actually looks pretty good too.

3 month old car and someone already has performed a hit and run, mind you its not that bad just scrape/scratches on the front bumper and the rear panel but the point is it shouldnt be there so now I have to deal with paying for it (for those of you about to attack me with your wits and tell me to take it through insurance thank you, you are all little Einsteins but there is a thing called a deductable).

It can be done, but very expensive for those that want to have the entire car covered.

In regards to the scratches, I would suggest taking it in to a detail shop and see if they can buff or wetsand them out. good luck

I'd take a look at the Wash & Wax section under off-topic. Also, do a search for scratch removal. There's a lot of great advise out there on how to fix you up. Is the photo of the car under your post before or after the damage? I didn't see any scratches. I had the same issues with my NBP 06 TL, and was able to deal with them fine using a Pinnalce Cleaner and a PC polisher.

are you using those scratch products and applying them by hand??? if you used a PC (porter cable) it should have buffed right out...

you can do an easy wet sand and buff, use like 2000 grit sand paper and then get 3m compound, and 3m glaze and youll be all set, i had similir stuff on my door, that took it right out, just watch out on your bumpers, i burned through on my bumper and i barley sanded it and buffed it just for that reason, but sadly to say still did
