Basically i've been looking into buying a third generation Acura TL and have been searching for the past two weeks. I've been using craigslist to help find what I'm looking for. Basically i've narrowed down my search to two that I've found from dealerships in Vancouver, Canada. I'd appreciate any help, thoughts or suggestions on choosing one, obviously from experienced TL owners. This is what I've found at the price id like to pay
2006 114,000km from a acura dealer. Asking price was $17,988 and I was able to negotiate down to $16,000. Because I will be financing the car they offered me certification which includes power train warranty yadda yadda for an extra $899 and %1.9
2004 91,000km from GM dealer. Asking was $16,999 and negotiating a fair price is underway but im guessing i could get him down to $15,500. I'd be taking out a bank loan which would charge me 7%
I informed the acura dealer that the gm dealer was going to give me a better price and they said they would match out my final cost. Both cars are identical inside and out fully loaded with Navi and both have been inspected. The 2004 has a couple small paint chips but better rims, tint as well as a body kit. The 2006 has some minor infractions in the interior like a little bit of pen on the inside roof and a dog had chewed up the seat belt a little bit. Also the 2006 has back up camera and hands free bluetoooth + voice control.
Assuming id pay a little more but not much for the 06 in the end but including acura certification, which one should i choose? I need good opinions from experienced TL owners that take into consideration, reliability, resale value and over all a better deal.

Just to add, the '06 with the goofy wheels, also has, TPMS and stiching is different on the seats, but I'd take the '04 with the A Spec kit, Apec wheels, if the price can be reduced. If it's the one a Carter, looks really clean. It's not a full A Spec vehicle as it didn't have the badge on the trunk or the A Spec steering wheel. Can't detect if it has the A Spec suspension, at least I can't tell from the video.

FYI the 04 has the bluetooth hands free link and voice controls.
essentially the cars are identical with the exceptions of what turbonut stated. a lot of guys would kill to have the aspec wheels, lip kit and tint already on the car. wonder if it has the aspec suspension as well. tough to tell in the pics. the drop would be very subtle if it does have it. and it has less miles.

WTF? That's strange everyone is on board with the '04.
I'd say the '06. It's certified and will be cheaper when you finance. How is a $500 difference a break point? At 7% versus 1.9%? Uhhh....
C'mon, let's use some collective AZ brainpower here. '06. You can replace or modify the parts you don't like.

It's a difference of 14K miles. Is that really worth it being two years older?
You can buy the aspec kit and replace the wheels, probably for cheaper than you would incur in interest alone between the two loans, OP.
For real. '06.
