I Picked Up The Wood Shift Knob For The Auto Trans, But I Can't Get The Leather One Off. The New One Slips On And Screws Down. How Does The Old One Come Off. Thanks Tim

 

Hmm, maybe it unscrews and slips off?

 

twist off. It is HARD to untwist. Putting the new one on is even tougher. No lie. That SOB is tight and getting it lined up is difficult. Plan on at least 10 to 15 minutes if you want it perfect.

Put the parkign break on... drop the shifter into D5 or D4 maybe even down to D3... and then twist counter clockwise. It will take a bit of effort, cuz it took me a while before I could twist it off. But it will come off. You will feel like ur about to break the dam thing.. that how hard you have to twist off.

 

is there any other kind of shift knob available for auto?

maybe something like with lights hehehe lil ricey........
