Exclamation Headlight Theft - what's the deal?

I've read a lot about the theft of Xenon or HID headlights. Should I be worried?

the headlights in the TL are much harder to remove than the maxima and 2nd gen TL's. the maxima headlights were a joke to steal. you would really have to destroy the front of the car in order to remove the lights if you were just prying it off. but since the car is so new there is not enough stats to show whether its happening or not to this version of the TL.

Probably all those punk kids doing headlight swaps on their 10 yr old civics.

Might as well get the headlights engraved.

lo-jack your headlights, this way when they are taking off with the lights you can track them down and run them over. just claim you couldn't see them because they had stolen your headlights.

Actually.... yes! If it's those punks doing those headlight swaps you could track them down when they post their "Look at my headlight swap" on the internet or those import car shows.

Besides, tracking them down isn't the goal. Having your VIN engraved in the headlights would be a deterrent.
