Help with headlight installation
Help with headlight installation
I have bought aftermarket 6000k HID bulbs for my TL. I got quoted $250 to get them installed because they said the front bumper will have to be removed before installing the bulbs. Is there any truth to this??
Here are the headlights I bought from ebay.

If the bumper does not have to come off anybody around Queens NY want to lend me a hand?
Personally I feel that he was giving me BS and wants my money but I may be wrong.

No you can go in through the splash shield to install them. It takes an hour or so.
Next time too stay away from ebay bulbs. Get yourself something quality for your quality vehicle like KAIXEN or Philips.

I think $250 is a bit steap. do it yourself. Its not that hard.
you can go through the splash shield or have the bumper removed. Both methods works. You can actually go through your engine bay too(this is what I did). Its a bit harder since I had to remove my battery.

$250????? Can somebody say hyperduperripoff??????
You can EASILY do this yourself man! Hell, ya know what? If I am ever in your area, I could lend you a hand. It's just a bit more tricky than changing a standard halogen bulb. I was in the city every weekend the last 3 weekends, I wish I knew sooner I could have helped you. I dunno when I am coming next.....
But seriously whoever quoted you $250, go slap em in the face!

Hmm never heard of those bulbs before hopefully they last decently long. But it depends if you have never done it before it could be a pain in the ass. When I did mine I just removed the front wheel, and went through the splash guard. The driver side is alot harder than the passanger side. I'd say remove the battery when installing them makes more room on the driver side. Passanger side is a cake not difficult at all. But it is a ton lot easier to remove the bumper won't lie.
And who's TL is that on there page lol
