Guys, I've done a search but couldn't find anything. What is the difference between the TL 6-speed and the TL 6-speed /w high performance tires? I got mine and I thought I had the HP version because the previous owner or dealer installed a set of Michelin summer tires before I got it. When I plugged in the VIN to the Acura site, it only says the regular 6MT. Other than tires, is there a difference?

 

Nope, that's all there is to it. Summer tires V. All-Season.

Same tranny. And for the record, Acura tries to tell us that it is a close ratio box. It isn't. Just look at the ratios and you'll see.

 

prior to 09, the tl vrs tl with hp tires was just that, hp tires was the only difference....you can keep thoes hp tires as they will wear out quickly....

now on the other hand, the 09 car with hp tires also comes with larger rims....so that might make a difference....
