Help!

Has anyone tried to turn off the voice when using the navigation? Can we just use it as avisual and not have the voice break in on every turn?If so where in the setup do we go?

THanks....

Good question. Haven't tried, but am getting sick of the voice interruptions.

Push the "setup" button. One the first setup screen push Volume "off" on the touch screen. This will mute the route guidance and voice command confirmations. You can still push "voice" during guidance mode.

I can't remember if there was a" volume off"....you're not referring to "voice feedback off" are you?
Hmm...must check tonite. If so will that turn off volume just for navi or all the voice command functions(I think that's what the voice feedback is for)?

thanks

Volume "off" is located to the left of the volume adjust slider on setup screen 1. It will turn off both route guidance and voice command confirmations.

On one of the other setup screens you can turn off voice command confirmations separately. (I think that is what you are calling "voice feedback".) Meaning that voice route guidance will still be on if the volume is not set to "off".

You are welcome.

Yes, that is correct. It would be nice if one could turn off voice route guidance and leave voice command confirmations on.

You can also turn the volume down on the screen, but it will still mute front audio.

I had a Garmin GPS and Nav is like this thing that makes American a really free country. You just go.. and don't worry about getting lost.
