Smile Hello, im new to TL, need some advice please.

hey guys, i just sold my xb and bought a 2005 TL auto. The car is all stock right now and i definitely want to vip it all out in the future, but for right now i have a low budget because just spent it all on the car haha. Anyways, i have about $1k left to just do whatever the hell i want for now. What would you guys recommend to do first to make the car looks good ? for example: lower springs/coils, visors, wheels, body kits... Give me some advice please, would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome and congrats.

Since you are planning to go towards a VIP theme, coilovers would probably be the best thing for you to get right now. If not coils, then look into the A-Spec kit and tint or something along those lines.

First thing I would do is to make sure the trans fluid has been changed and take care of the sensors...plenty of info here on that. Then I would look into the A spec kit for $775.

Maintenance can and should exceed what the manual tells you...we are planning an entire maintenance plan for Acuras in the coming months that will really help you stay on top of your TL making it's awesomeness undampened by age and mileage.

thanks for many helpful advices guys. Well anyways today i went and got my tl tinted all around, limo in the back and 15% front lolzz. it's dark as shit now =). been thinking about getting aspec suspension, just so it would handle a bit better and little lower. I'm new, so im not sure if s spec are springs or the whole suspension?

Best car-look-good mod is the A SPEC kit IMO. Then a drop, tint, than modded lights.

A-Spec suspension consists of brand new shocks and springs. Keep in mind it won't drop you much at all.

its the anthracite metallic color, like gunmetal gray. car is stock right now, just all tinted around. I might just go for a complete roof rack system for my bike first, cuz i dont wanna damage any interior parts. I found couple of teins ss coilovers for about 800, i would love to buy those but not sure if the ride is gonna be like crap.

If you are interested, I can get you the parts you need. I would go with Door visors, which really set off the car for only $147 shipped from me. Then I would look into the a-spec body kit which I can get for $770 shipped. I would then do a drop, I can get you the a-spec suspension but you will be upset that it doesn't damper and it doesn't raise/lower and only gives a 1" drop. I would look into megans, which are great coil-overs and very popular which are identical to TEIN, but only $830 shipped new instead of $1100 or so for TEIN SS's.

I would also paint the rims to save some cost and set off an aftermarket look, then do some custom work such as headlights, tail lights or accord fog lights which seem to be very popular.

I can black out your headlights, make you custom tail lights or help you out in any way. Just PM me if you have any questions.
