Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.
You may also want to post here:

When I was 20 I had a 10 speed bicycle.

Thanks to everyone
Its a pleasure.

my list of cars is because im on the bussines of buying salvage vehicles and sell them here at the border, you make very good deals if you know how to move in here.

BTW
this car I was expecting a better TL-S, it came with the drivers airbag deployed
on the pictures at www.iaai.com was looking intact, when it came to me I pushed the airbag to hear the horn sound and FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK thats what id said, I really said CHINGADO in spanish but thats my translation :P
then, I just got my steering wheel with a big hole! It was repaired and unnoticeable,
so, on the rear passenger seats on the roof, one of the plastic covers of the lights was missing, If someone now where I can buy it or if someone has an extra please tell me and
ill buy it please,
It came so so dirty from the interiors, and my navigation screen asks me for a code,

any reccomendations or products for cleaning the interior?

and what should I do know for the navi code?

SALVAGE= it was front end damage, it just has a crack on the bumper, and missing the upper chrome trim of the grill as you saw on the video,
but for 11,800 miles I think it was a good deal
maybe for december ill be selling it cuz in january im leaving to europe "school trip" and ill be out for a whole year.
Im on Calexico California if someone is interested.

Tomorrow im going to wash the car, pick up my Red number permit, and take it to the bodyshop to fix the front bumper, and wax it

Tomorrow the photos of the before and after dirty/clean process

Should I open another new thread? or is it Ok here?

Will you explain your business of buying salvage vehicles a little more?

Are you a dealer w/ a dealer license?

Did you source this TL-S from an auction in the USA or in Mexico?

How does the transportation/registration cross-border work?

No im not a dealer with license, here in mexico you dont need a dealer license,
if you want to buy a car from copart or IAAI you just go with someone who has the license, this person has a "license" and is registered like it is a dealer, but really he dont,
you pay to this person from $40 to $100
they bet for the car
if you win, you guve them the cash and the car comes to a parking lot after that.
then the certificate of tittle is delivered to this person and you pick it up with them.

the tl-s was bought on USA, at phoenix.
there was no TL-S sold in mexico, either TL, already they introduced acura to mexico in 2009 when the new gens came up

the cross border is easy, if your getting new license plates, you go to a registration office, you pay XXXX amount for the tax of the total cost of the car,
40dlrs for the paperwork, and the same day they give you the RED number (permit) to drive the car, so theres no problem at the border cuz the car and the permit its of your property

if your not getting legal plates, you have to give the mexican border police about $400 and they let you pass :p

if your legalizing the car on mexico u just have to pay the "import" that is about $500-$1500
depending on the car

Im worried about something

I just have moved and driven the car below the 15mph
at a parking lot full of small rocks and sand, and I fell my steering wheel, so hard to turn,
I looked at the powersteering wheel deposit and it was full

Is it normal at low speed?

OP pick the original intake one because it will offer you nice quite without noise and intake don't give you any gain at all. About the power steering issue, yes it is normal FOR A TL-S has heavy steering feel. Acura build the power steering that way they work less when under 35mph or under and they will work more when speed reach above 35mph.

If I was in the drug cartel business, I'd have that many cars too! just jking brah. I wouldn't be shaky or excited as much as the R32 as this car is just a downgrade if you ask me. Nice pick up though.

Depends what you're looking for. Unless you are going to spend $xxx, xxx nothing beats the total combination of luxury/sportiness that the TL type-s offers.

If you really were in it, you would buy a chrysler 300 or a dodge charger and put 20-22" wheels on it.
or silverado, or tacoma.
thats what all the wanna be narco stupid guys got here, and trust me,
detecting everywhere a drug dealer or a wanna be drug dealer here is as easy as spot a corolla on the highway. :p

wus up!
forgot to tell you guys that the car came almost without motor oil and transmission oil

I put 3liters to the tranny
and 2 to the motor :/

after that I waited for over 3 hours and put some clean mats to check if there was a leak, and the worst part,
what you think that happened ?

JK, there was no leaking.
after 8 hours I havent noticed any leak, so, thats good.

I get the piece that was missing from the intake
im gonna put a photo cuz I dont know whats its name.

replaced,
and drived it for about 5 blocks

IM FUCKING AMAZED by my new toy
the sound of the engine combined with the exhaust is exquisite
accelerates quickly, about the steering wheel It wasnt to stiffy, its hard at low speeds but its ok,

im doing a flickr account
in an hour im uploading the link so you can see the whole process from start to end
and ill be uploading some videos 2 youtube too

BTW
my navigation asks me for a pin
I looked for the serial number at the box on the dashboard and I was unable to find it

so, what can I do?
get to the dealer?

Nice pics. looking at them really makes you wonder the kind of life the car has had considering all the random dents, missing pieces, blown airbag...

Still a great find tho...good luck with it!

Wow! nice pickup.

Sometimes you can get good deals from iaai but a lot of times they are assholes.

Overall I've had better experiences with iaai because its almost always an insurance company selling the car. Copart on the other hand, anyone can sell there and most of the time the cars are pieces of shit and the pictures are misleading.

in any event I'm sure you can find all of those pieces online or somewhere close by over the border. These cars are getting older and people part them out a lot. You'll be able to use a lot of stuff from 04-08 so don't just look for Type-S parts for things like trim pieces, the seat buttons, etc.

Lol I thought I was the only one flipping cars before my 20th birthday Do you guys import anything these days? I used to ship cars to guatemala (89-95 Toyota pickups, 22re 4x4 king kab manual transmissions) and they would drive them through Mexico and down to Guatemala.

Last I heard the laws changed and it sucks now.

yeah, laws have been changing since 3 years
and it totally sucks
I just import the cars that are for sale, mines i get them california plates

and I was wondering, what kind of stupid guy drove this car!
if you see the damage of the bumper it was ridicoulous that the airbag have been deployed
anyways, as i said earlier, maybe for december ill be selling it,
the price of this car for the border its about 12500-14500
a guy right now as it is its giving me 13000
but I dont need the money right now so, ill be keeping it for a while,

on monday a friend is picking a good airbag and the sensors in san diego for $200
very good deal

and the stuff missing inside Im ordering them online the next week

Welcome Arturo. You remind me of my twin boys who have also gone thru some nice cars. Although, both my boys loved their mustangs (2 GT's and 1 Cobra). The latest is that one of them just sold his 2003 Cobra that he got when it had only 8,000 miles, also a rebuild, but what a Great Ride. He traded that in for a 2007 Audi a4, his second a4. They always seemed to have cooler cars than me till I got my 2006 TL with only 12,000 miles. I just love the TL.
