Hey guys just wanted to check in... I used to frequent this forum some years back when I owned a 2003 TL-S. It was a great car except for the tranny problems all the time. Ive since owned 2 GTOs then a 07 Vette
Now I am the proud owner of a 07 TL with navigation with 50K on the odometer. I am loving it so far. It is the charcoal color/ ebony interior... Anthracite maybe? I forget the name exactly.
A few questions:
My car has the flip open keys, side mirror turn signals and, voice commands. I thought these features didnt come out until 2008?
The trannsmission shifts kinda jerky when driving aggressive. In fact pretty much ALL the 3rd gen TLs i test drove (all around 50K miles) did this. I am not too worried because it was a private party sale and the CPO warranty is in my name now.... bumper to bumper till 62K and powertrain until 100K. I was thinking of maybe doing a 3x3 fluid change with the dealership fluid (honda ZF-1 if im not mistaken?.... its been a while).
Other than that I am very pleased with this car... I looked at M35's and Audi A6's in addition to this car and I just kept comming back to the TL because of prices, bank for the buck, and of course honda reliability. Sorry this pic isnt that good I took it in a pinch with the cell phone, but ill have a better photoshoot once I get her detailed properly

Thanks for the advice guys! One more thing I forgot. I noticed the coolant was blue. I've never seen this before. Its always orange dex-cool for GM or the universal green. Im guessing this is Acura stealership fluid?? Other than the 03 TL-S this is the only Japanese car I've owned... Its all been GM and Hyundai...
And on the red-line thing.. I went thru all that with my GTO's, and C6, amisol, redline, royal purple etc, for the tranny, diff and motor oil. I never really noticed better performance, especially with all the money for those premium fluids. Sometimes I think keeping the maintenance schedule (changing fluids on time), is more important than keeping super expensive fluids in the car. Anyways I dont want to beat a dead horse.
Do you guys have any problems with Acura warranty claims while using aftermarket, or performance fluids. I never really had a problem with GM.

Welcome back. I too was a fellow Corvette owner and now have a 07 Type S 6mt. My first vette was a 99 hardtop, then a 03 Z06, 05 Z51 6spd, and last but not least the silver C6 Z in my avatar. Car is insane no other words describe it. I love the TL's as well and I think you made a good choice. That color is also one of my favs for 07/08.
