Hello!

Recently sold my S2000 and picked up a TL 05 with stick, nav, black/black.

so far...
Stick is a bit rubbery when compaired to the s2000. Guess thats expected with FWD.
Black paint is beautiful (has a metalic/pearl finish)
Build quality is awesome, way tighter than the s2000 or my toyota.
Just about as fast as the s2000 and you dont have to rev the s*^t out of it.
Looks like it gets better gas mileage.
Lots of space up front (6'2").
so far so good...

Welcome aboard.
I have a 6MT as well and as soon as it get's good and broken in, that rubbery feel will go away. I now have almost 18k on mine and it is very slick and easy.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine.

I've never driven an S2000; but I think the TL shifter works like a fine bolt-action rifle. That must be one precise shifter!

Welcome and enjoy!

another 6MT owner here and i absolutely love the shifter on this car. if was a little notchy at first when i first got the car but after putting some miles on it the shifting is silky smooth. one complaint that i do have is in cold weather the shifting when you first get in the car is again notchy until it warms up. but i have read threads that say changing out the tranny fluid to other products will help eliminate that.

thanks guys, hope to add my 2 cents here eventually. Yea, the S2000 shifter was like a rifle bolt, short and very precise.

Glad to hear you like your new TL. I've also got a 6MT and the shifter has been great since the car has gotten broken in. I've got one question for people who may have changed tranny fluid. My tranny also is a bit notchy in the 1-2 shift when cold. After I drive it for a few miles it seems to smooth out but I'd like to know if anyone has changed the fluid and eliminated this anoying problem when cold. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it completely eliminated the problem when cold, but here is a thread (with pics) on the tranny fluid change. Much thanks to deandorsey.
