Heated seat on a timer?
I usually don't keep my heated seats on for long, but yesterday and today on a road trip I had my seat on high for an extended period of time because it was the coldest it has been here and I hurt my back at the gym. My seat seems to be turning on an off.
Does Acura have them set up to cycle on and off for some reason? I couldn't figure out any pattern. It would seem to be on for a while (15 minutes or so?) and then turn off for an unspecified period of time and then come back on again.
I hope this isn't by design; this is probably by 6th car with heated seats and none of them have done that.
Ideas?
Thanks.

I get the sarcasm, but since it's Christmas-time I'll give you the real answer. The manual says to start by putting it on High; when you get to a satisfactory temperature, switch to Low. That will keep the seat on at that constant temperature. Just leaving it on High will cause it to cycle on and off, as you experienced.

does any one know if the seats are on high, how long they stay on? and then how long does it take for them to get on again?
