heated mirrors inop

After finally reading the manual to learn how to operate the heated outside rear view mirrors, I used them for about a week before the heat quit. Now, when the button is pushed, the indicator light comes on during the push but it goes out when the button is released (rather than staying on) and no heat is made at the mirrors. Thus, hard to see out back. Anybody aware of this problem and/or the fix?

Fix: keep it pressed in w/ your finger, or bring some tape in the car with you

sorry, I know I am useless

Re: heated mirrors inop

If you already press completely to the bottom, it still goes out.

Dealer should fix it.

It's probably just a loose wire. You can easly fix it by placing one stick of dynamite under the driver door, and ignite it using a number two blasting cap... wait, I'm sorry, this will blow up your car.
