Has the TL become a "chick's car"?
Guys, I'm getting concerned that we're all driving what has apparently become a "chick's car". I see a lot TLs on my side of town, 2Gen through TLXs, but mostly 3Gen & 4Gen.
Anymore, I'd say at least 75%-80% of the time I see a TL, it's a woman driving it. Usually middle age or older. Hell, there's a little old gray-hair lady that lives up the street that drives by the house in NBP 07 or 08 that looks better than mine.
I started noticing this around 6-8 months ago, and since have paying close attention when I see a TL, and it's like I hardy ever see a guy driving a TL anymore. I see more guys driving Miatas than TLs.....

I live in Ohio close to Marysville. I see TLs everywhere, all the time, and always have.
Make no mistake it's a four door semi-luxury family sedan. Of course women are going to drive them.
The difference is with the 3G, it's such a good looking car, that we all make it into something more.
The short answer is "no".

Oh, I know those looks - my good friend has had a couple of CRXs, a Miata, and an S2000 - 6'7" and ~290 He had to buy a think Kirkey seat and bolt it straight to the floor to fit.

And this is just a tongue-in-cheek discussion question, some of you guys seem to take everything so seriously. I love my TL no matter who drives most of them, and a Miata is great little car, just that years ago it got the rep for being a chick's car. Actually, when I see a Miata lately, it's usually a guy driving it, although probably not a 6'-7" guy
But, really, a few years ago, I saw way more men driving TLs, for whatever reason, I've really noticed a marked change to women ( and yes, I love women too)

i think the 4g is a gorgeous vehicle with the right wheels on it. I had 2 of them. People who wouldn't be caught in one haven't really had the driving experience most likely.
12-14 stock wheels are gross and 12-14 SHAWD wheels are boring. 09-11 had a better set-up and you can't beat the Advance wheels in terms of a stock look.

I bought my TL from an older lady couple years ago and yes there are older ladies I see driving TLs. I also see plenty of guys driving TLs as well.
Even if it is a "chick's car"...doesn't take away from the car at all.
Eh, I think its good that a car can appeal to both sexes.
I love women alot too.

The 4G is definitely not the sexiest, but does have a nice presence, especially the back. The front is a bit like the 3G with botox.
The TLX is just not doing anything really. I mistake it for a Hyundai when I first started seeing it. It has a small rear that makes the car seem weak.

OP I can relate as I have seen plenty of women driving a 3G TL around in my town. But it's by no means a chick car. And every time I do see a chick driving a 3G TL is almost always (visually) stock besides window tint. Just another reason why I keep making modifications to my 06 base model. When I pull up at the light next to em they are breaking their neck and wondering why their TL looks no where near as clean as mine.
Just keep making modifications to your car to stand out from the chick driven TL crowd. lol

^Yea but it's not about how exotic, powerful, classy or ugly the car is. It's just who you see driving them most of the time.
My boss drives a Boxster S, limited edition orange. Chick car. Literally have only seen women driving that car. Now that's no monster but certainly no slouch either...
Mercury Cougars, chick cars.
6 series BMWs, chick cars.
Bugs, chick cars.

My 6MT TL was purchased from a female owner. I see the TL as a sensible transportation option and it doesn't attach the wrong kind of attention. At least the TL isn't associated with bro's that vape..Subaru WRX

I never seen a girl driving a Miata and I live in the city.
All big guys driving around Miatas.
Just cause you seen more girls driving a TL then guys doesn't make it a chick car.
Girls like the Tl in general. They love my car its very manly lol

It is around here. I don't care how wide the tires are or how much power it puts down.
9 times out of 10 when I see a 6 series a chick is halfassily driving it.
Hell I've got two of them in my small building here at work. Both driven by women.

Previous owner of mine was also female. I do agree that the TL is not a Viper - it's a kinda sporty entry-luxury reliable FWD sedan; why wouldn't men and women both like it?

I think she was trying to figure out why there is 1 lonely knob for the volume on the center stack...lmao Acura. But men understand it so there you have it that the TLX is a man's car. Let's move on
