because its quite possible they are the same...
The TL shares many things with the Accord...
The TL exhaust is pretty free flowing, not sure how much more you could really get out of another exhaust, and of course you would be stuck with round tips when our outlets are squarelike

I believe the Accord still has a 3.0L and the TL a 3.2L
Different HP/Torque/redlines ETC...
The exhaust for the Accord is made for the Accord not a TL....If it was they would put it on the TL
Probably the best thing to do is buy Comptech

TL

Accord

Displacement 2997cc
RL

Bore x Stroke 89 mm x 93 mm
Displacement 3471 cc
all of the above are part of hondas J-series engines
the same basic block and layout is in all three... almost all major parts are swapable (not saying you would want to).
there different variations on the same original design....
for the exaust, you would have to put them side by side to check... maybe even get a accord aftermarket and test fit it.... actually see whats in the way
suspension, fuel tank, spare tire.....
here are some details on the rear suspension and fuel tank and general demensions. this can all be found at hondanews.com
TL
Independent multi-link (5 links), double-wishbone with coil springs and stabilizer bar
20.0 mm diameter, solid (manual) sway bar
17.0 mm diameter, solid (auto) sway bar
17.0 US gal tank
107.9 in wheelbase
189.3 in total exterior length
Accord
Five-Link Double Wishbone Rear Suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar
13.0 mm diameter, solid (auto) sway bar
17.1 US gal tank
107.9 wheelbase
189.5 total exterior length
what does all this mean? well it means the entire rear suspension assembly looks like a carryover between the tl and the accord (other then sway bars). fuel tank is almost exact same size... who wants to guess its also in the same place? and that the length of the cars are within .2 inches of each other and wheelbase is the same...
what does all that mean? from underneath the tl is a high priced accord....
so yes a catback from an accord might fit... and being there for the same engine family it would probably do a good job if it did... most aftermarket systems use large diameter piping.... more then a mildly worked over car could put to use, so it should be fine for the slightly hotter motor in the tl
