I see a lot of talk about mods for the '04. Has anyone dyno'ed a stock 5AT so that we have a baseline to determine gains from these mods?

I too would be interested in seeing this, to compare torque curves between the TL and other cars I am window-shopping...

neuronbob is right. they initially did the 6MT but the posted results from a 5AT also. The AT sends about 10 less hp to the wheels and maybe 8 less ft/lbs of torque.

The testers were surprised that the lag was only this small. I think they were expecting a much larger spread between the MT and the AT.

That's good news for us that have or will have the AT.

Ooops, I had both links next to one another in my long list of links, and I posted the wrong one. My bad.

That's pretty sweet. There's about the same drivetrain loss between the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen.

Ya gotta remember though, the 6-spd's got an extra gear.. making the first three shorter ... so even though they may be putting down similar hp/tq numbers... the gearing is also helping out a lot
