Very well said champ, you are right they are both comparable as fas as engines and it is true that the driver is the ultimate deciding factor in a race.... I have had 1991 acura integra's with fully built motors give me a run and I got a manual TL type-s, also I used to own a 88 crx si with a worked motor and kept up with the b16 vtech's all day. I also had a ep3 civic hatch with the k20a3 block, used to keep up with some real bad boys with that baby because I shifted so quick and knew when to stomp the gas etc....

I think the TLS is a better overall car, but when it comes to straightline speed, the 5.5 gen Maxima cleans house. Until TLs and TLS' start running 12.7s-13.4s NA, the TL has nothing on the 02-03 Maxima in terms of acceleration. Tranny to tranny, stock or modded, the Maxima is the quicker car.

You are dead wrong bra I have already wiped the floor with an 03 maxima stick and it had CAI, Headers etc..... Just a heavier car, and also a family car, it cannot be compared to a TL type S I'am sorry!! Maybe it would give the auto matic TL a good run though but not an 04 model BC they have 270hp!!

My mother owns a 2003 maxima. It is an automatic 4spd. I personally think that my tl would take this car without a problem. And I even wok for Nissan and really lime their product.

As far as driving reckless... Who gives a damn. The one thing I do no like about this forum is the constant pattern of these threads. It usually goes something like this...
I did something kind of reckless or put a non-popular part on my tl and the first 5 people say something decent and then it is followed by one or two other idiots commenting how it is dangerous or distasteful. Then it is followed by these people fighting with one another.
Listen, it is your life. Do what you want. You are 30 god damn years old. No one is your mother on this forum.

Know what I can't stand? Posts that go something like this...even though all the pertinent posts have been made in this already three page long thread, I still feel the need to point out the idiotic comments of members who likely don't care about this thread anymore. Then it is followed by that person regurgitating the same crap as if they're making some kind of prolific point of their own. God they suck

Same shit mentality.. There's so much disrespect to others on the road. Driving is a responsibility to yourself & others. So many people are senselessly killed over stupid shit whether it's driving wrecklessly, drunk, racing on a crowded street or through traffic. The OP knows better, he could have just said some bitch cut me off /post.. but he turned it into a glorified.. I got my revenge by driving 110 mph through morning traffic.

"there comes this woman ( Idiot Bitch ) in a Nissan Maxima that I had passed earlier while she was merging, up in the right lane."----

so your speeding and cut her off while she was merging into traffic. Yet, you bitch when she cuts you off. Grow up man, you have a kid. What if she slammed on the brakes and you rear ended her all because "you were pissed".

Secondly, didnt you see her speeding up next to you in the right lane? Did you not anticipate that she may cut you off? Its called Defensive driving.
completely avoidable

maximas are not faster than tl. my brother has a 2003 maxima and i have raced him a couple of times. from 20 to 60 mphs and from 60 to 100 mphs. and his maxima doesnt keeps up. but maybe this is because i have a 6MT and his is AT. If a TL is AT and the maxima is MT then it might be the other way around.

So the McRib is back at McDonalds. I personally can eat it once in a while (like once a month is my limit) but one of my co-workers is ecstatic about it. I'm sure we're going to have to eat it Monday.

Wait... are we still talking about nothing in this thread or am I too late?

TL will beat the Maxima, even if it had a tornado on it.

I'd be happy to meet up with any of you NC guys (such as poster above) if you're near the triad (winston-salem area) and take this debate off the bench. I'm not much of a mag racer, but the mags suggest the TL-S 6-speed has an advantage. I've never lined up with a TL so I have no idea.

You know how it is. If someone on maxima.org posted that the TL was quicker, there'd be an uproar from all the fanbois. I'm sure it goes the same for any other forum.

Me? I think TLs are great cars, definitely look better (interior and exterior) than my maxima, but I'm not sure they're as quick stock for stock, or with equal mods. Guess we'll see. Looking forward to meeting up with some TL guys, especially 6-speed with some power mods.

Because he hardly ever posts and pulled that out of his behind. Anyone can review my post history here. Who do you think did the Cold Cathodes among many other how-tos. So now you are going to follow me on all my posts and start making this personal?

Yep. I completely agree. Doesn't matter what site you are on. If it's the site for that car, that car is the fastest car period. But when someone that is objective comes in, they just don't want to listen.

It's funny how your post count went up from about 1100 to over 2k after I made a comment about it. Yeh I am attacking him(sarcasm)...please read the 1PM I sent to him to keep his attacks from cluttering up the threads.

Huh? Nothing changes post counts on this site. Do you have nothing else better to do? And that isn't what you said in that PM.
