H&R SPRINGS OR COMPTECH?

SUP ALL im debating whether to buy h&r springs or wait for the comptech springs..everywhere that i go or call is out of the comptech springs and they say that they will not have none for another 2 weeks....i heard alot of goodstuff about the h&r so i was just wondering if any of u had them and if they ride smooth and lower evenly...unlike the eibach springs which dont lower evenly..thnx

Which H&R springs? I currently have H&R sports on my 6gen accord v6 and it rides very close to OEM except a little stiffer. The Comptechs you will notice more of a difference.

I'm getting the Comptech ones this summer. The 1" drop is just what I want, they're cheap (just springs), and you don't need to replace your shocks.

My car is leased so I went with Acura installed Comptech...
Looks nice.
Park Ave Acura in NJ can mail them to you. They probably have some in stock. Then your Acura dealer can install them.

I wouldn't try. They charged me $50 hour. It took them 3 1/2 hours. You have to remove the seats in the back. Just seems like a headache. At least if they do it, you can just have them service it if there is a problem.
Just my .02.

H&R is an excellent brand. Very high quality products. I would say H&R springs, but I have no experience with comptech to compare.

i used H&R in my last ride and it was harsh as hell. nearly shook the life out of my. i also had bilsteins which were pretty stiff as well but would not go back to H&R because i would fear that it would cause about a million rattles in the car. what about the A-spec suspension? you can buy that for 600 off one of the dealers. this is springs and shocks that are made to work together. i think this is the best option performance wise.

well thnx for all your help...as for you caball88 i think that it is your shocks that made the car ride ruff....i had those shocks on one of my cars and then took them out...i dont like aftermarket shocks...i heard alot of good stuff about the h&r ones though.....BUT once again thnx for all your opinions

Applications for 2004 Acura TL
--Year--

Suspension
Stage Chassis / Drivetrain Notes Approx. Front Lowering Approx. Rear Lowering Part Number Sug. Retail Photo
Sport Spring V6 1.4 1.3 50104
$329.00 Kit

Race Spring V6 40 2.0 1.75 50104-88
$329.00 Kit

this seems too low and will feel the street alot more, and from watt i have read.. the 1" drop from comptech and Eibach. is just perfect, so that you dont have to change anything else in car. but i personally think it will look better lower, but STIIIFFFFEERRRR ride bouncy if u ask me...without changing the struts..

The dealer

I actually called my dealer in Florida and asked if I was able to upgrade to the ASPEC springs since they come with springs and shocks to work together and they told me that it wasn't available for retail yet. The only way to get it is to get them when you buy your car. Thats what I would suggest to you outkast because it comes from the factory and made specifically for the TL. If anyone knows if what my dealer told me is BS can you let me know where the ASPEC kit is available.
