Grille

So I just got my first car, 2008 acura tl. Im looking to do some things to it and one thing i was thinking was a mesh grille. I'm still a little undecided. i saw the c-mod grilles in black which i thought would be pretty cool. Has anyone seen it in person and can I get any feedback? good looks

it looks pretty weak in person, there is just too much open space in my personal opinion. there was a member who did that sort of thing but cut out the A in the front from the housing and mounted it. looked cool, but that would be a lot of work. It makes it look like a shark but not in the good way lol.

thanks for the feedback, do you guys know of any other grilles that might look good or am I better off just leaving the original and not messing anything up?

where do you find the vinyl, just any auto store. And I'm guessing you have to put it on yourself, if so was it a pain or somewhat easy?

^Sharksbreath, Thanks alot thats really helpful and it looks real nice. Prob what im going to go with. Iv never attempted to take apart pieces from a car so do you think as a first timer I would be able to pull it off or am I better off taking it to a shop and having them do it?

You can do it yourself no problem....taking it all apart and putting it back together is the easy part...wrapping the grill is the pain in the ass. But the result is great...Mr. Shark was my inspiration for this mod too, and it is one of my favorites.

Just do the open grill mod yourself and add a mesh grill. Much cheaper and looks better IMO.

this thread should help you,
Mine is a work in progress should be done by the weekend.
im painting the center and inner grill black, leave the chore A, and painting matching the 2 piece (hood piece and the thin trim around the grill) WDP to match the car.

I think the the C-mod grille is not ugly. Terrible thing is that it is too expensive; however you can always do it yourself for a lot less like many people on here have sugested.
Take into cosideration that it will require a lot of your free time, specially if you are a beginner like myself, here is mine

^Big PZ. I saw in your pics that you took it all apart and put the vinyl on. How long does that take and is it difficult because it is my first time and of course im nervous and dont really know what im doing. But seriously, is it a pain to take the bumper off and how hard is it to put the vinyl on?
