Thumbs up Great way to start the new year!

Took delivery of my new Anthracite/Ebony/AT/NAV TL yesterday.

I was grinning from ear to ear all the way home. What a joy to drive. Spent the night combing through the manuals.

Here's the details on the purchase:

TL $33995, including:
- floor mats
- trunk tray
Accessories $2124:
- Underbody spoilers
- Deck lid spoiler
- Body side moldings
- Moon roof visor

I also got the extended warranty (7/100, $0 deductible) for $1150. They initially wanted something like $1700, but I showed them an online quote from curry acura, they matched it. Was only casually thinking about it at the time, but when they matched the price, it allowed me to roll it into the loan rather than shell it out later.

Got home too late to take any pics to post, but I'll get out there today and snap a couple.

This forum was invaluable in helping me negotiate a decent price for this awesome car. Thanks everyone! I'm happy to finally be part of the TL owners fold.

Oh, BTW, I went to the service dept when I took delivery and asked about the tires and they did not have any official news from Acura acknowledging the problem or anything that could be done about it, but did say that they've had complaints from other TL cusotmers. Unfortunately, they've been dealing with them by trying to re-balance and rotate the tires and tried to feed me some line of BS about not being able tell if flatspotting was really the problem until the car had at least 5000 miles on it.

Let's just hope Acura owns up to the problem and decides to do something about it.

Yikes! That horrible front license plate holder/plate! I prohibitted my dealer from installing it. Hoping I don't get a ticket for driving without the front plate....

nice looking car. I wanted to see the car in that color. I like it. I have hoping that the tl would get carbon gray like the tsx has but that is the closest I think we will get it. Nice.

Congrats on your purchase!

Just a comment on the color: I think the anthracite is a great color. From the pics here it looks exactly liike my Deep Pearl Green. Just another reason to see the color you're buying in person prior to ordering. The actual color of the anthracite is more gray than dark green which is not reflected in these pics.

Congrats!
I know how you feel--just 1 week prior.

I was gone for 5 days after buying it last Tuesday.
I washed her today for the first time.

I advise using "Micro-Fiber" towel/rags.
They won't scratch the paint or clear plastic, but be careful not to pick up/apply contaminants that can scratch,.

Approaching 200 miles and loving every minute...

Congrats marquis. I ordered my Anthracite/Ebony 6MT w/Navi on 12/31/03. Just curious. How long did yours take to come in from time to order.

Thanks Green

greenseed.....that's a tough one to answer actually. I reached the deal about a week before christmas and was subsequently told they were having trouble locating the car. I went in to look at alternate colors and told them I wanted to stick with the Anthracite/Ebony and didn't mind waiting a few weeks. They then located a car (in VT) but it wouldn't be coming available until mid-January. Then a couple of days later, the person who was supposed to take delivery of this car wanted to postpone a couple weeks for some reason, and the dealership wanted to get the car out the door before the end of they year, so I wound up getting it. Made me even doubly excited getting the car since I had already put it in my mind that I was going to have to wait until mid-January.
