Got new pads on my Brembos

Brought in my 6MT for Service B and told them the brakes squeal a lot. Picked up today and found out they did 04-019 TSB and changed the pads and turned the rotors.

Also noticed the wear to be 7/32 on all tires (HPTs) with just 11,040 miles. Please share your experience with HPTs.

So, you got free pads and save $$$?

I thought the old 04-019 TSB was disabled weeks ago, and dealers are still waiting for the new updated 04-019 TSB.

Does this mean new one is there now?

Same story

I took my car in today for an oil change and I mention the brake squealing and gave the service rep the TSB number. When I picked up my car the service rep said that their district manager, who was visiting apparently, said that he had a memo saying that the procedure in the TSB did not work. However, they did replace my brake pads and re-surface the rotors for no charge. I will let you know if the squealing comes back. The service rep also said that Brembo is working on a replacement pad that is suppose to fix the squealing problem and that I will recieve a recall notice when the pads are available.

Man the rotor's turned at just 11k? That's not cool. Shouldn't need that for a good bit. You can only turn them so many times then you have to replace the rotor which will cost alot more $$$

Ya, if they had to turn them or refinish them already, I'd raise a flag. No way it should have needed to be done already. You will end up paying for new rotors sooner rather than later if you plan on keeping the car for the long haul.
